Milk Thistle is a pretty purple plant that offers some pretty great perks. Contrary to its name, milk thistle doesn't contain any dairy, but it does contain an antioxidant called silymarin. Silymarin is known for its ability to protect your liver from free radical damage.

The Vitamin Shoppe® brand Milk Thistle Extract is formulated with 1,000mg of silymarin and absolutely no alcohol, so your whole family can enjoy its liver-supporting benefits.

Directions

Mix one (1) dropper (approximately 30 drops) in 1-2 oz. of water. Shake well before using.

Why has milk thistle been around for thousands of years ? Obvious answer? It works. I use milk thistle every other month. 1 month on and 1 month off. My blood work shows my ldl lower when I use milk thistle. Recommend it.

Great Results Fully Satisfied
Consistency is thick! Which makes it difficult for the full dose needed, but no other complaints. I'm happy with the use of it, I kept getting welts/ hives every other wks of the month, I think this did the trick. I also use sea moss drops along with it, both great products from this store. Fully satisfied. Also the taste isn't bad ..I mixed into my flavored water.

Milk Thistle is Fabulous - Rise in Price is NOT
Love this stuff. I've been taking it for years. However, last year the price went up $3.00 PER BOTTLE. It is now $12.99 per bottle.That is a 30% mark up. Needless to say, I no longer buy this item often because I have to wait for a decent coupon just to get it at the price it was before the increase. Very disappointed.

Hi: I purchased the alcohol free liquid Milk Thistle extract for my dog who has elevated liver enzymes. The vet recommended purchasing this herb from a health food store. She recommended using Silyban A & B Milk Thistle; I am curious if this product contains Silyban A & B? There is nothing on the label regarding this. Veterinary products containing Milk Thistle do say 'contains Silyban A & B'. I am using only 1 - 2 drops/da directly on her tongue, since the recommended dosage is 35 mg. She seems to be tolerating it fine. This is a question.

I am considering buying this for my cat, she is currently in the hospital being treated for liver disease and she was jaundiced. I am hopeful that she can recover, however I know it's not 100% that she will, but, I would like to give her the best chance at living her life a little longer. She is only 8 years old and the sweetest little thing and I love her. I am wondering if anyone could tell me how much would you give a cat that only weighs 7lbs 14oz? She's lost a significant amount of weight and is quite thin from her illness. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Best Answer:  One droppers full (30 drops) equals 1 ml which is equivalent to 1000 MG - I was diagnosed with onset fatty liver I took this as directed (1 ml a day)for 2 months straight and a healthy diet. My fatty liver is now thin thin thin LOL, it did help a lot. Hope this helps.

Approximately how many servers per bottle if using the recommended dosage of one drop?

Best Answer:  The recommended dosage of one dropper full (not one drop) which is actually 30 drops of the milk thistle which equals 1 ML. There is 57 ML per bottle so that would be 57 servings per bottle. In the directions it says to mix one dropper full in 1-2 oz. of water but it does NOT say "once a day" or "twice a day". I took it twice a day; once in the AM and one in the PM for the first 10 days and then once in the AM after that until I finished the bottle. Online research says take it for 30 days then rest for 30 days and continue for 30 days and so forth.
