Good bone supplement

I feel a difference in my joints

I've been using New Chapter Bone Strength take care slim tablets for about a month. I think it's making a difference in how I feel, I don't think it's long enough to really see a big difference so I will buy another bottle and continue using it. The pill wasn't too big and it was easy to swallow.

I've had these for awhile and to be honest can't really tell so far if I feel any "stronger" or anything. They're a decent size pill to take, doesn't have a weird taste if they start to dissolve in your mouth. Considering buying another bottle just to see if it really works!

Is this better than the Kind calcium brand? My doctor said to take Caltrate but I do not think it is as good as the calcium from algae. My doctor is annoyed that I do not want to take drugs. I would appreciate anyone's experience with improvement using calcium supplementation for bone density.

I had a stroke in 2008 and take blood thinners: daily aspirin, and Plavix every other day. Does anybody know if this product is contraindicated for people who take these blood thinners because of the Vitamin K - which is a blood clotter?

  Possibly depends on the type of medicine. From what I understand, many of these "blood thinners" do not require a dietary adjustment, but others do. In general, Vitamin K helps with clotting as some of the green foods you have to avoid with ONLY some of the medications..This is all I know hope this helps..

What are Vit K1 and K2 for that are in the product? Is there a side effect?I read some reviews on Algae Cal, and one person said her blood pressure went up to 198/98 (from a normal BP)after she took Algae cal.

  The K vitamins help the body absorb the calcium, particularly K2. I've been taking the BoneStrength algal cal for months. Dr. Oz recommends calcium supplements from algae. No side effects and my blood pressure has sayed the same.

what is the calcium Elemential content in New Chapter Bone Strength ?

Best Answer:  770 mg per 3 tablets. This is a plant sourced whole-food calcium, (no limestone) Also contains Magnesium and K2

I researched that strontium can't be taken at the same time with culcium since they are contradicting with each other. The formulation in tablet contain both calcium algae and strontium together .It recommended to take separately. Please clarify.is this safe?

  It is best to take one tablet at a time, three times a day. I take one with breakfast, one with lunch and one with dinner. The body does not do well at absorbing a lot of calcium at one time, so definitely spread them out.

  I read somewhere that our body can only absorb about 500 mg at a time. Therefore I split the amount and take twice a day morning and evening.

  Not really "small", but like a Tylenol smashed flat. Not at all hard to take. By the way, this is the only calcium I have been able to tolerate long enough to improve my calcium lab values.
