I have only taken it on an empty stomach. That is how acidophilus is supposed to be taken.

  Hi Michelle, Yes, I think it is a very good idea to give your daughter PB8 in her feeding tube. Just a reminder: probiotics are affected by stomach acid which surges in response to food, so if you can give it about 20 minutes or more before feeding time, that will help her even more. The best times for me and my family is first thing in the morning or last thing at night when the stomach is empty. It's probably a good idea to start slowly with just one (or less) capsule and gradually build up to a more therapeutic dose.

I do not think this would be a problem. But you may wish to find a Probitic that has more than 1 strain of Bacteria.
In Australia some products have upto 4.
I am sure that you will find several products on this VS site as they have a very good range of products.
Depending on age and situation you may also want to add CQ10,Choline(lecithin), Omega 3 & Selenium for development.
If no sun then Vit D also.
Ensure + is also a very good product.
I am sure that you know all the above.

  I would think it is fine to mix with cool water. Not warm or hot as you don't want to kill the organisms.
I LOVE Vitamin Shoppe, and I use PB8 with another product- please look into Flora Source online. It is a much better probiotic. It too could be opened and mixed with cool water.

  Just tried mixing the contents of the capsule with water and it mixed quite readily. It's just a little granular so probably needs to be washed down with additional water.

  I have never taken it for that purpose. I take it to improve my immune system and my general health. I do find that if taken with 2000 mg vit C and one PB8 every two hours that I stop the getting of flu and cold simptoms when they first start to appear. Norma

  I cannot say that it does. I can only say that it helps to cleanse the lower intestines, helping to eliminate fecal matter that has been stored there for years.

  If taking with antibiotics separate by at least two hours and check with your pharmacist concerning any other medications you are taking if any.

  You mean you only want three bottles? I believe you only get one bottle per order unless you want more than one. The "8" is just part of the name.
