Best Answer:  I have only taken it on an empty stomach. That is how acidophilus is supposed to be taken.

Best Answer:  This product is good for keeping the natural bacteria in your body and candida in balance. I found taking this product along with a good cranberry product kept urinary bladder infections away.

Best Answer:  Just like everyone here, I take it first thing on an empty stomach - I remember hearing that many years ago. If I feel I need extra support - especially after a course of antibiotics - I'll take a second one at midday.

Is there any reason this probiotic couldn't be used in a feeding tube? I have used other meds in capsule form for my daughter by taking the capsule apart and mixing the contents in water.

Best Answer:  Hi Michelle, Yes, I think it is a very good idea to give your daughter PB8 in her feeding tube. Just a reminder: probiotics are affected by stomach acid which surges in response to food, so if you can give it about 20 minutes or more before feeding time, that will help her even more. The best times for me and my family is first thing in the morning or last thing at night when the stomach is empty. It's probably a good idea to start slowly with just one (or less) capsule and gradually build up to a more therapeutic dose.

Best Answer:  I have never taken it for that purpose. I take it to improve my immune system and my general health. I do find that if taken with 2000 mg vit C and one PB8 every two hours that I stop the getting of flu and cold simptoms when they first start to appear. Norma

Best Answer:  Since I do not work for Vitamin Shoppe and I'm only a fellow customer, I am going to assume you are online and trying to remove one from your Cart. Go into the cart and see if you can edit the cart and remove one of the items. Hope this helps!
