Hi Ella, this is a wonderful product and the Vitamin Shoppe brand is very good quality. If you have this in your medicine cabinet you practically do not need anything else. I use it internally if I have any kind of intestinal flu- it really diminishes the symptoms, or if I am traveling in a country where the food or water is dubious I take two drops after each meal. It is good on the gums after any kind of dental work even a cleaning which might cause soreness. Externally it is the best remedy for poison ivy, and good for any kind of skin infection: bacteial, viral. or fungal such as athletes foot. it is good on pets for that reason too. These are just some of it's uses.

  We just use it occasionally for those times when we feel like our immune system needs a boost. Whether we think it is a bacterial or fungal issue going on, we place a few drops under our tongue, wait for about 30 seconds (if you can tolerate), then swallow, and drink water. Strong stuff but definitely worth having.
