Psyllium is a soluble fiber derived from the seed husks of the Plantago ovata plant, otherwise known as ispaghula. Commonly used as a gentle bulk-forming laxative, psyllium supports healthy digestion and regularity.

What is a bulk-forming laxative?

Instead of being digested, bulk-forming laxatives absorb liquid and swell in the intestines to form soft and bulky stool that stimulates your bowels.

Directions

Take one (1) capsule up to twice daily with at least 8 oz. of water per capsule.

Didn't work for me
I thought I'd try it since it's easier to swallow a pill than to take a fiber drink. However, it doesn't work for me. After a few days, I was constipated. I increased it to 2 pills a day per instructions but that didn't work either.

The best
I have tried almost everything. I haven't been diagnosed, but I was definitely irregular before this. Could go up to two weeks without going. I was bloated and worked out but my stomach would not go down. I feel so much better that I god are least once a day, sometimes two or three with this. I take two in the AM and one the evening. Sometimes I'll just take two a day.

Definitely works!!!!
I have had issues with digestion for years. Before taking this product, I had to take laxatives at least once a week to have a bowel movement. I starting taking these roughly two weeks ago and have been able to go without laxatives. I am still not going daily, but have been able to go every other day. With this product it is important to drink lots of water. I consume about 8-10 cups of water a day, which is the recommended amount anyway.

Hi. I bought this product yesterday. I was looking for the psyllium husk with acidophilus capsules, but when I was in the store it appeared that you aren't selling that anymore. So I bought this product, the "Psyllium husk". I noticed on the label that the "other ingredients" were gelatin and acidophilus... But it doesn't mention acidophilus on the front label, and it doesn't tell you how much of it is in them. The product that you all used to carry not long ago (psyllium with acidophilus) said it had 4 billion organisms per serving. The new product doesn't specify or mention it at all, I just happened to see it as an additional ingredient. I would like To know how much of the acidophilus is in the new version of the product? I really like the psyllium and acidophilus combination that I bought from you all about 5-6 months ago, and was disappointed to see you aren't carrying it anymore. I appreciate your information/feedback. Thank you.

Best Answer:  Not in this form, for me anyway...you should use the psyllium powder that mixes in water/juice...and take that one half hour before eating. The psyllium helps you feel full and you don't eat as much.
