I can't say enough good things about these Double Chocolate Chunk Protein bars. Love the flavor. I have at least one a day. They are great for a quick pick up between meals or I even eat one for breakfast. Also, they are great to take on an airplane or hiking. Love them!

  Yes, this is a gluten free product. They are great for a sweet treat, I find them amazingly like an Oreo. Warm them slightly in the micro or dashboard of your car and they are even better.

  Yes. They use fiber from tree nuts such a as almonds and cashews as the binder instead of gluten. I'm gluten free as of 2011 and I've never had an issue with these bars.

Which cookie and cream formula is this product? The ingredients changed slightly recently. The newer bars I purchased had an increase of 2g of fat per bar and other nutritional value changes. So I have 2 questions which product is this the older with Isomalto-Oligosaccharides and 7g fat per bar or the newer product with soluble corn fiber and 9g fat per bar? Also why the change?

  Quest changed all of their bars to soluble corn fiber, so those are the newest. There were a few out there that were always made that way (Smores, Choc chip mint, mostly their newest ones). Just from reading the comments on the Quest facebook page, people are REALLY unhappy about the change. The bars do taste different now, and not for the better, which really is unfortunate.Here is their reasoning behind the change:Based on analysis of recent scientific literature, consulting with fiber experts and our own experience, we’ve decided to modify the formula for our protein bars using soluble corn fiber. We knew doing so would be more expensive, it would require reinventing our manufacturing process all over again, and it would be risky to make a change to a recipe that so many of you already know and love… but after careful consideration, we decided the metabolic benefits of soluble corn fiber outweighed the cost to make this upgrade a reality. (And not to worry – soluble corn fiber has nothing in common with corn syrup other than the fact that they both come from corn!)What’s so amazing about soluble corn fiber? Simply put, it makes for a better bar experience. The new bars stay at peak freshness longer, they stand up to heat better, and they bake unbelievably well!Additionally, soluble corn fiber and its associated fatty acids provide a whole host of health benefits above and beyond those of the IMO fiber we used to use. These include anti-inflammatory effects, improved immune response, and an improved and more predictable blood sugar/insulin response, just to name a few. Questions for Similar Products
Sucralose is Spenda! This is a chemical that can cause obesity and heart disease, to name a few. It is toxic to our bodies. I would not touch these bars if you were giving them away. If you want to read more, google search Dr. Mercola's website and articles on sucralose-dangers. Sorry to be so blunt but people need to keep manufacturers in check with their claims vs their ingredients!???

  The net carbs can be figured out from the nutrition facts listed for each product. It's the total carbs minus fiber and any fake sugars such as sugar alcohol.
