Best Answer:  Quest changed all of their bars to soluble corn fiber, so those are the newest. There were a few out there that were always made that way (Smores, Choc chip mint, mostly their newest ones). Just from reading the comments on the Quest facebook page, people are REALLY unhappy about the change. The bars do taste different now, and not for the better, which really is unfortunate.

Here is their reasoning behind the change:
Based on analysis of recent scientific literature, consulting with fiber experts and our own experience, we’ve decided to modify the formula for our protein bars using soluble corn fiber. We knew doing so would be more expensive, it would require reinventing our manufacturing process all over again, and it would be risky to make a change to a recipe that so many of you already know and love… but after careful consideration, we decided the metabolic benefits of soluble corn fiber outweighed the cost to make this upgrade a reality. (And not to worry – soluble corn fiber has nothing in common with corn syrup other than the fact that they both come from corn!)
