They work
They work but, You will get pregnant. My cycles started becoming regular, I was having a cycle 2x a month with very light bleeding. I mean immediately after taking 2 in the morning and before bed, my next cycle I was able to use an actual maxi pad because I had been using liners for 5 years. And then my next cycle did not come until a full 28 days later. But this only went on for 3 months because now I'm pregnant. I read so many reviews saying this happened and I did not believe them?. So 5 stars because at least my cycle was normal for a few months.

Thoroughly Surprised
This is only my 3rd day taking this Serrapeptase, but I've already experienced alot of noticeable benefits. Now, I admit to taking twice the amount of servings directed on the bottle. Instead of taking 1 capsule 3x a day, I have been taking 2 capsules 3x daily. That's just because I wanted to purchase the 240,000iu brand but couldn't afford the $30 difference. So I figured doubling up on these would be similar (these were buy 1, get one Half off, so two of these bottles came to about half the price of just one of the expensive brand).

I started taking this supplement because I wanted to get pregnant, and after already having two children, I felt that my body needed some internal clearing out. I didn't expect any visible results, I just thought after taking it for some time that my body would be healthier. But to my surprise, my baby pouch and love handles that I've had since giving birth 7 months ago, are starting to slim down very noticeably! Even if there were going to be visible physical benefits, I definitely didn't expect them to happen after only 2 days!

I'm also a server at a restaurant, so I'm on my feet all day, and I noticed that when I take the serrapeptase, my feet don't hurt at all during my shift.

I have some physical scars on my skin that I'm hoping begin to flatten/fade as well. But I will have to update my progress on that after I've taken the enzyme for a few more months. All in all, I am an extremely happy customer, and would recommend the Vitamin Shoppe brand for this enzyme to anyone looking for some quality serrapeptase.

Works great for skin..BUT
This had great benefits with my sinuses and nicer looking skin. But, after a month of taking it, I now have bad Acid Reflux and am no longer able to take it. This ate away the lining of my stomach. I took it as it stated on a empty stomach before any meals. And well that made sure it absorbed and well in my case ate more than I expected.

Not enteric coated
You don't want these enzymes to be digested by stomach acid. You want enteric coating on the pills so the enzymes bypass your stomach and are absorbed in your small intestine. Serrapeptase is MUCH MORE effective that way. Because the enteric coating process is expensive, Vitamin Shoppe brand doesn't have any and it is cheaper because of this. I went round and round with Customer Service about this issue. Finally, they admitted that there wasn't any enteric coating, Don't waste your money on this brand.

I recomend this product to get pregnant .
I took 4 years and not come out pregnant, look on the internet and I decided to take serrapeptapse and vitex, the take maximum 15 days and a miracle I am now pregnant the next month after trying and pay consultations fertility and all gave me good , also gave my husband folic acid s I share my experience with others because it is difficult that the whole process

Helps with allergies
this product helps me and my mother with so many things. She has horrible allergies and she told me when nothing else works she just takes a couple of these and her sinus' clear up within an hour. I also experience this. I have a old rollerblading injury where I fell at the base of my spine. This product helped to relieve the pain associated with it. I can't live without it.

Just starting Serrapeptase
I have high cholesterol/blood pressure, osteo-arthitis, fibromyalgia, sinus issues,bowel adhesions, constipation, & Mild cognitive Impairment. Been on it for 2 weeks. No side effects noticed. Started 1st week on 80,000 iu and the 2nd week at 120,000 iu. Take it one hour before or 2 hours after meal. On day 5 noticed by myself and others more peppy/chipper than have been in years. No relief yet on pain, but research show may need to take up to 3 months before any improvement. I will keep taking it to see what happens.

Great product. Lacks side effects!
Even when taking 4 times the normal dose of naturally derived systemic enzymes, there are no side effects. While fibrolinitic activity is decreased, vitamin K will still do its job unlike with coumadin. Coumadin can cause bleeding, even in the absence of bruising. Coumadin can also cause cerebral hemorrhages. 20 grams of serrapeptase, which equals more than 5 bottles full, would not cause hemorraging. No study has shown it to share side effects with common drugs for thinning the blood or for relieving pain. Study after study has shown Systemic enzymes to be far superior to prescriptions while completely lacking side effects of such dangerous drugs as coumadin or Ibuprofen. And unlike coumadin, serrapeptase is able to rip the calcium deposits and clots from the vessel walls, breaking them down completely immediately. Coumadin on the other hand can break these blockages off but not break them down, leading to clots blocking blood flow to the brain, heart or lungs in some cases.
The same companies that produce drugs for arthritis that cause heart disease, rip the stomach apart and prevent joint healing by 50% would love for you to believe that systemic enzymes are bad for you. They don't make money if you take control of your own health!
Don't listen to the news. Goto pubmed, or do google searches and look at the research yourself!

My bottle lists other ingredients as : vegetable capsule (hypromellose, gellan gum,) rice flour, magnesium stearate and silica. (90 count, 40 SPU) Lot # 406194. It does not state whether or not it is enteric coated. How do I find out if it is?

Best Answer:  My experience with the Vitamin Shoppe is that if a vitamin is enteric coated,they list it in the product description. If you see vegetable capsule. it is a vegetable based gelatin capusle.

Best Answer:  This is a plant based proteolytic enzyme, not animal based. Yes, the original was from silk-worms, but since then it has also been synthesized from plants. These types of enzymes can work in a ph of 2 to 9 without a loss of activity.

I just bought the exact same bottle of 90 capsules vitamin shoppe brand, but these ingredients say 120,000 units while the previous bottle says 40,000 units. Did they phase this one out?
