  During the acute phase of an infection, you can take 2 every 2 - 4 hours, then reduce dosage to 2 2xs day prophylactically.

  Sorry Debra but I'm not sure. I would search on line for the proper amount and how often to take it.. I would be apt to be on the conservative side as some supplements can cause further irritation. My urologist suggested 1tsp of apple cider vinegar per day to make the urine more acidic. The d-mannose did not help my condition. Best of luck and my sympathy, because UTI's are definitely no fun.

  Use one tablet two times daily, morning & evening with meals. It works for both me and my wife.

  Debra, I beleive D-Mannose is completely safe to use as in it does not build up any sort of toxicity in the body. I believe I have read it should be taken several times throughout the day with an active bladder/urinary tract infection. I gave it to my son morning and evening when he had an infection, but people who have repeated infections take it every day for maintenance. I heard about it while reading a publication containing an interview with a Dr. Jonathan Wright....look him up!

  I had chronic UTIs, about one every4 weeks. My niece who is a Dr. Of Chinese medicine recommended D-Mannose to me. Because I was symptomatic I took one twice daily for like 2 weeks to get it in my system. After that I take them once daily. If I feel like I might be getting a UTI I start twice daily again for a week and lots of water. These supplements have been my salvation!!!! I haven't had a UTI in 6 months - knock wood! Hope this helps.

  When my mom had a urinary tract infection, she took 3 capsules at a time several times daily and didn't need antibiotics. Now she takes 1 capsule twice daily just to maintain. It seems to help with yeast too.

  It has helped me immensely with UTIs plus it is good daily as a
preventative. For me, one a day is a general dose; whenever I get
the slightest symptoms, I take up to 3 a day, one at each meal.

  I take one in the a.m. only, but did take two to four per day for the first month or two. I?d say the max is two per meal.

  I take D-Mannose along with 1000 units of Vitamin C every day. My Urologist who is with the University of Miami put me on this because I was to getting UTI every couple of months. The last one I had sent me to Urgent Care Center.
I have not had a UTI since I started this regiment. You may have to take 2 D-Mannose and 2 Vitamin C a day. For me 1 of each works. I faithfully take this everyday since I don't want to have another UTI ever again.

  When I have a UTI or feel like I'm getting a UTI I take 2 capsules two or three times a day, along with massive glasses of water throughout the day After UTI passes I take one daily as maintenance. These supplements have helped me unbelievably. After being on maintenance I've gone from UTIs every 2 months to maybe one or two in a year. Hope this helps.

  My urologist recommended taking one capsule daily for the prevention of UTIs. I have been taking this product daily for almost two years and I only had one UTI in that timeframe. I used to get 2-3 UTIs per year so it has definitely helped me.

  I take two in the evening before bed for prevention. If I have a UtI i take two in the morning and then two in the evening. Vitamin C in addition is good every 6.hours if you already have a UtI .

  I take two every 4-6 hours for a couple of days. If symptoms don;t go away ( and they usually do), then you have to get an antibiotic.

  I cannot answer for others but I can say for myself that I take two a day for prevention. It would be more if I had UTI.

  For PREVENTION of the strain of e coli that causes urinary tract infections - yes. My wife's uti's stopped when she took two D-Mannose w/CranActin a day (one with breakfast and one with supper).

But I would seek medical care if the uti occurs. I don't think D-Mannose will kill the infection. Too dangerous to try that.

I cannot comment on any other strain of e coli , or e coli infection elsewhere in the body.

  If you are talking about an e-coli UTI, then the answer is definitely yes. However, you might want to do a little research about taking more than the regular dose. That's what I do when I have a UTI. It works like a charm and I rarely have to go on antibiotics anymore.

  I have know idea. I was having reoccurring urinary tract infections and this was mentioned to me as a possible solution by a urologist. I also take a cranberry supplement that has a probiotic. I have been 7-8 years without a UTI!

  Vitamin C is good for your bladder infection, however if you need assistance like I did, I went with the one with 1,000mg of D-Mannose and 400 mg of Cranberry. Vitamin C is just an additional help, but not the primary one. This is my take on it.

  I was directed to this product by a holistic doctor friend of mine. Had been having several minor uti's so I thought I'd give it shot. At the first sign, I began taking them along with monolaurin, I've not been back to the doctor. I just reordered to make sure I have it in stock. I've also increased my water intake and drink at least 1 cup of green tea a day. It's been almost a year being UTI free.

  My wife takes d-mannose everyday. She had repeated UTI's that antibiotics couldn't clear up. D-mannose not only cleared up the UTI infection she has not had another in the last year from taking it once a day. Look up d-mannose you may be surprised to learn all the things it can help with.

  This will work, but it needs time. Sooner you start using the better. I increased the dosage a little and made sure I drank a ton of water. If you have a lot of UT's like I used to, I started taking a very good probiotic and the UTI's have disappeared almost entirely.

  Cannot say what will work for you; it works well for me.
