Biotin is a water-soluble B-vitamin. It helps to promote healthy skin, nails and hair, and is necessary for certain enzymes to work properly. Biotin also supports energy production in the body, and is required for protein, carbohydrate, and fat metabolism.

Directions

As a dietary supplement for adults, take one vegetable capsule daily, preferably at mealtime, or as directed by a healthcare practitioner.

It deserves 10 stars
This product is amazing. I would give 10 stars if possible. I'm on my late 30's and I was loosing a lot of hair. After reading some reviews I decided to give this product a try and I was shocked to see that I was growing baby hair after 3 weeks of taking it. I'm on my second bottle. My hair now feels strong, full and I no longer have bald spots. Definitely worth buying it!

What a difference!
Honestly this made a HUGE difference in my hair loss after washing my hair. I went from a huge palm full of hair to a very small amount.

Great product
I've been using this product for months. Looking for suitable for vegetarians and won't break out my skin and I found it!! Like with all Biotin products drink plenty of water. I've seen a different in hair growth and not only on my head. It does what it says it does.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PRODUCT
I TAKE A CAPSULE EVERY NIGHT WITH DINNER AND A GLASS OF WATER.I HAVE NOTICED MY HAIR IS GROWING IN FASTER AND IS HEALTHIER LOOKING AND SHINES. THIS IS WONDERFUL AND I WILL CONTINUE TO USE BOTHE THIS PRODUCT AND THE ONE 10,000 MCG'S ALSO. WOULD ADVISE PEOPLE TO DRINK PLENTY OF WATER DAILY THIS WILL MAKE YOUR SKIN LOOK AND FEEL GREAT. I HAVE NOTICED BIOTIN HAS WORKED RIGHT AWAY. PLEASE KEEP THIS IN STOCK!!!

Great Lab and Biotin is EXCENTIAL
I use this product as a RULE of science; not specifically being right that it will make any difference; better than not use it I guess LOL, nevertheless hair and nails grow much faster

Stronger nails

Love!!!
Purchased these to repair my nails after artificial/ acrylic damage to my nails that made them into paper thin, weak, cracking nails. My nails have always been weak, short and never grow long on their own :(. Acrylic/ uv gel nails made them so thin it hurt everytime I touched anything. They were so far down it really affected my work. AND OMG thank Goodness I found these!!!!!!!!

One month and my nails were not only back to normal but longer than usual! My hair also grew very fast which is weird because my hair barely grows. From a little past my shoulders to my mid back! So happy.

Also the capsuels seemed a little big for me at first but I got used it. I'd take one every morning with food but it wouldn't uset my stomach if I didn't take with food.

Buying two bottles now, one for my Mom and one for me! :D

I'm currently trying Solgar Biotin 1000 µg = 1 mg, one pill each morning. One week after starting with the following biotin product I realized and saw that there's a product with 4 times as much biotin. My question is, is there any major difference with the 1000 µg and 5000 µg in aspect to hair growth?

Best Answer:  Well, I have hypothyroidism and have had no problems. But it's best if you ask your doctor.

My dermatologist knows that I have a thyroid condition, yet she suggested I take the supplement.

You could also search the Internet using search terms "drug interactions with Biotin."

Best Answer:  The appropriate dose of biotin depends on several factors such as the user’s age, health, and several other conditions. At this time there is not enough scientific information to determine an appropriate range of doses for biotin. Keep in mind that natural products are not always necessarily safe and dosages can be important. Be sure to follow relevant directions on product labels and consult your pharmacist or physician or other healthcare professional before using.

There is no recommended dietary allowance (RDA) established for biotin. The adequate intakes (AI) for biotin are 7 mcg for infants 0-12 months, 8 mcg for children 1-3 years, 12 mcg for children 4-8 years, 20 mcg for children 9-13 years, 25 mcg for adolescents 14-18 years, 30 mcg for adults over 18 years and pregnant women, and 35 mcg for breast-feeding women.

My wife & I are taking 10000 mcg/ day because we were still having issues w/ hair loss & brittle, cracking nails

Best Answer:  been using the vitamin shoppe biotin for over a yr now. its wonderful. you'll notice a big change in hair skin and nails with in two to three months. although, not sure if its the right one for you, i always find at any time you can ask for help. my personal feeling is everyone who works for them are very knowledgeable. good luck
