I work in a drug store where a lot of people come in for cold and flu medicine. I started taking this just before the flu season began. Knock on wood, with so many people getting sick, I am one that did not! I'm not saying it will work for every one, but I am sure it didn't hurt to take it.

What is the UMF rating? The packaging does not specify UMF and from what I understand, just listing it as "active" relates to the hydrogen peroxide activity.

Best Answer:  Manuka Honey has been used for people with h-pylori bacteria. There are many books out there to help those with leaky gut, to name one, Natasha Campbell-McBride's GAPS diet, also recommended is good quality pro-biotics -- the kind that are refrigerated. I like Organic-3 Gut Pro, the powder is potent and more cost effective than buying the capsules. Hope this helps. Protocol calls to eliminate sugar, drink nourishing beef bone broth. Also, Sherry Rogers MD has some good info on LGS and other disorders. Lots out there to research.

Best Answer:  I have not used Manuka Honey to lower the cholesterol. I know 1/2 avocado daily and lower the intake of refine carbohydrate will do the job.
