The best
This is the best and so happy Vitamin Shoppe carries the large size and keeps it refrigerated at the store. An acquired taste, but I use it for dipping oil for breads or vegetables, sometimes blended with olive oil or straight, with Italian herbs. Also great for smoothies if you want to bury the taste, honestly I love it.

Flax oil received
The flax oil that I received tastes good but it doesn’t have lignan in it. The label states that it has lignin in it, but it doesn’t.

Unsettling Stomach
For some reason, I develop an upset stomach whenever I take this Flax Oil. I never had issues before and I have been taking Flax Oil for many years. Is it the Lignan or something else that is causing the upset stomach?

good oil
I first started using this oil by advise of a vet for one of my birds. I had to give him a drop or two a day and use it to clean his vent every day till we got it all clean and it stopped getting clogged up. then I found if I give it to my birds during molting, that their feathers come in better if they are having problems with their feathers growing in. Then I found out that Flax Seed oil is the best oil to use when caring for your cast iron pans. The more I use it, the more I find its good for.

Barlean's Lignan Flax Oil_Organic
It is an excellent product.These days, there is massive amount of fraud and scams; it is hard to find a truly healthy product. We have been purchasing Barlean's Flax Oil for about 20 years, and believe it is one of these truly good products.

Works wonders
I have been taking a tablespoon of this this (4 times per week) for 2 years now and it has made quite a difference in my skin. No more dry skin and such a smooth complexion. My hair is soft with no split ends ever.

Received spoiled product but Barlean’s corrected the issue
I bought a bottle in the store and it was rancid!!! Due to current procedures my store is not taking returns. I contacted Barlean’s directly and in less than a week I had a new bottle in hand. I understand why The Vitamin Shoppe has these rules in place, but exceptions should be made in some cases. The product itself, we’ll see after I use it awhile.

I have been purchasing this flaxseed oil for sometime now. I didn't realize it but, it has been brought to my attention that the labeling on this product is misleading. It states that this product provides the HIGHEST LIGNAN, but when purchased from my local Vitamin Shoppe, it only states LIGNAN. Why is this labeling misleading? Is it the same potency? The label even seems irregular and what I mean by that is, the label isn't placed on properly. I just wonder if I'm getting the real deal.

Best Answer:  I gathered the following info from the Fat Flush Plan, which recommends 2 tablespoons of high-lignan flax seed oil per day: "...one of the most effective ways to promote better health, feel good, and look even better is by adding omega-3-rich flax to your meals: flaxseeds, flaxmeal, or flaxseed oil. Besides having an extremely high omega-3 content, flaxseed is also rich in dietary fiber and lignans.

- The soluble fiber aids in reducing carbohydrate absorption, stabilizing blood sugar levels, inhibiting cholesterol absorption, and lowering blood cholesterol.
- The insoluble fiber absorbs water in the digestive tract to ease elimination, making it a great help with bowel problems such as constipation and diverticular disease.
- Lignans- which are concentrated 800 times more in whole flaxseed than in other plants- are recognized for their antiviral properties and helping to alleviate perimenopause and menopause symptoms."
