        Not really. Many of the foods that we eat today lack many vitamin nutrients. B-12 is a good all around supplement.

        I allow the pills to dissolve under my tongue on the assumption that it is better absorbed that way. The instructions on the bottle say that you can dissolve it under your tongue or between your cheek and gum or you can chew it.

        Yes, vitamin B-12 is a vitamin absorbed by the stomach and not the intestinal tract. Allowing it to dissolve in the mouth allows it to be absorbed better by the stomach.

      I went to Vitamin Shoppe and I saw that this product contains mannitol. Does your label say it contains mannitol or any other sugar?

        Yes the two bottles that I have at home do contain mannitol. But the label states that it is “free of sugar”.

        Hi, I didn't see that on my label. The label states: Other Ingredients:

      Microcrystalline cellulose, vegetable cellulose, vegetable magnesium stearate, silica, water.
      Does Not Contain:

      Sugar, salt, starch, corn, yeast, wheat, soy, dairy products, preservatives, artificial flavors or colors.
