Directions

Adults take 1 capsule 3 times daily. May be taken with or without food. Capsules may be opened and contents may be added to water or raw juice. Not intended for children.

I noticed that this only has 125 mg of calcium. Most other prenatal vitamins I have seen have twice that much calcium. Is 125 mg of calcium enough, or do you take an extra calcium supplement with this? I'm asking because I'm lactose intolerant, so I don't drink milk. I'm not pregnant yet, but my hubby and I will be trying to conceive as soon as I see my doctor next month.

Best Answer:  Yes you can take all three capsules at once! I have never had any problem with these vitamins making me feel sick or nauseated, though I have with other types of prenatal vitamins. I do, though, take 2 with one meal and 1 with the next meal because the other garden of life vitamins are supposed to be taken two at a time for a total of four a day, and I just got into the habit of separating them out. I want to make sure that my body uses all of the vitamins available in these capsules. These vitamins are EXCELLENT. My midwives have always been impressed with my bloodwork while I've been on these vitamins. I have done some research and the Garden of Life really has their act together. I make my husband take the men's version and our four year old son take the kid's version. I wish they made a vitamin for children younger than four. Also, consider taking their Ocean's MOM suppliment during pregnancy and while nursing.

Will these prenatals give us the required amount of DHA needed for a healthy pregnancy?

Best Answer:  Hi, while I'm not sure about DHA, I must say these prenatals were AMAZING. This was my 4th pregnancy and I was exhausted and certainly not getting all that I needed. This was recommended by 2 friends (6 and 10 children respectively) and I immediately felt better with this prenatal, had more energy and everything else I was experiencing (digestive issues) cleared right up. In fact, this baby was by far my healthiest and biggest baby yet and I am sure it is because my prenatal vitamin was so nourishing. I definitely recommend it. My friends also suggested taking vitamin d supplements which I also ordered through the Vitamin Shoppe as well as Lemmi Swirl (an omega 3 supplement). Hope this helps!

Best Answer:  I first started using this when my husband and I decided to try to have a baby (along with the oceans mom dha). But I use this prenatal always, even if I am not trying to conceive and also use while nursing. I love it.

Best Answer:  There is a small asterisks beside the B12, which states that the source of the B12 is from "Raw, food-created nutrients." Not sure if this helps, but it's the best I got!
