      Customers review summary
This is an AI generated summary of reviews and may include incentivized reviews. This summary pulls themes from recent reviews and may not reflect every individual experience.

The Quest protein bar delights customers with candy inspired flavors like Peanutty Caramel and Lemon Cake and a candy bar style chew. Low sugar, about 15 grams of protein per bar, high fiber and a soft cake like texture that softens when warmed are benefits customers appreciate most. A few customers note reformulations or extra sweetness, yet many still call them a satisfying protein snack.

I just bought this from the company. I've bought the same kind from other stores, but they were never this good. These taste just like a candy bar but with protein! I love them!

I thought these would be like other bars- gritty and tolerable. Instead the flavor was true to the description and felt like dessert!

I can't say enough good things about these Double Chocolate Chunk Protein bars. Love the flavor. I have at least one a day. They are great for a quick pick up between meals or I even eat one for breakfast. Also, they are great to take on an airplane or hiking. Love them!

The absolutely best chocolate protein bar going with a bonus of high fiber content. Also it cuts down on the desire to eat a lot. Highly recommended.

Yes, Quest bars are gluten free. Another bonus is that they have only 2 g sugar. Heating enhances the taste. If you're eating the bar at home, you might try unwrapping it and putting it on a paper plate in the microwave for 15 seconds (no longer---it will get too hot). It doesn't completely melt, but you'll need a fork to eat it comfortably. I love these bars. They are a good source of protein in my mostly veg/fruit diet.

Do these bars give you gas like some of the Atkins bars do?
      Gene KDec 29, 2014

Absolutely not! The first time I bought quest bars, they waited for me to be alone to try one for fear of the wrath of so many grams of fiber. To my surprise, the bars were amazingly delicious and all was quiet in the tummy. I'm very sensitive to any bars with maltitol like many of the sugar free ones on the market. Fear not the Quest bar! Best flavors? Try the cookies and cream, coconut, banana nut muffin, chocolate chip cookie dough, cinnamon roll, and strawberry cheesecake.

I have enjoyed these Quest bars for several years and have not experienced that concern. I think they are the best bar of this type available including the fact they are gluten free if you require that. Also delicious to me. I suggest you try some and see if they do in your case as different foods have possible different effects on others.

      Hope this was helpful.

It's been a while, but I don't remember any particular problems with the Quest bars. I thought the taste was pretty good. But I have eaten a lot of the Atkins bars and never had any problem with them either. so my experience may not be much help for your particular situation.

I eat one bar as a meal replacement and I do not have any issues with my digestive system. I have never eaten more than one at a time. Keep in mind that not all of the flavors in the Quest Bar line have natural sugars. Several of the flavors have artificial sugar.

I've had no digestive problems with them. They have far less chemicals in them than the Atkins bars.

Sucralose is Spenda! This is a chemical that can cause obesity and heart disease, to name a few. It is toxic to our bodies. I would not touch these bars if you were giving them away. If you want to read more, google search Dr. Mercola's website and articles on sucralose-dangers. Sorry to be so blunt but people need to keep manufacturers in check with their claims vs their ingredients!???

The net carbs can be figured out from the nutrition facts listed for each product. It's the total carbs minus fiber and any fake sugars such as sugar alcohol.

Net carbs are the actual digestible carbohydrates your body processes, better yet, what's left over after the fibrous carbs are accounted for.
