Aproper zinc to copper ratio is also important for healthy lipoprotein and cholesterol levels. The zinc and copper amino acid chelates in this product are derived from whole rice concentrate rather than ordinary soy, yeast or milk which are commonly used to chelate minerals.

    Comments about Solaray Zinc Copper 50MG / 2MG - 100 Capsules:

I take a zinc copper to help with the extra potassium supplement I take, since you have to have a equal ratio for them both to work properly in your body. Both supplements are great and I have noticed a big difference when taking them and I highly recommend that everyone should take them as well since no one gets the required 4700 mg of potassium a day in their diets.

Is the correct Zinc and Copper for AMD?
    Rosemary C J on Mar 11, 2013
Best Answer: Believe me I'm no expert but my understanding is that Zinc is a vital component in treating MAD with a recommended dosage of 50 to 80 Mg a day.In addition I've heard that Lutein, Bilberry, Zeaxanthin, Omega 3's and Vitamins C and E are also beneficial supplements. But obviously check with a qualified nutritionist with regard to efficacy and dosage.
    Good luck.

IS THIS PRODUCT HELPFUL FOR THINNING HAIR?
A Vitamin Shoppe customer on Jan 14, 2014
Best Answer: For hair/skin/nail strength I take biotin. You can find information about vitamins, minerals, etc., as well as information regarding specific problems, in Phyllis A. Balch's excellent book, "Prescription for Nutritional Healing."
