Hands down, this is the BEST Iron supplement! I have donated platelets at my blood bank for close to 20 years and I have ALWAYS had to struggle to bring my Hemoglobin up to their minimum standards. I simply do not eat much animal protein. Yet I have a great platelet count. I have tried every type of iron supplement, some of them guaranteed to be the best, certainly they were the most expensive. And then one person suggested Blood Builder. The effect was like night to day! I no longer have to eat great amounts of animal protein to have my hemoglobin at the level the blood bank needs it to be. I can keep eating my healthy plant heavy diet and still donate platelets twice a month. No more wasted appointments only to be denied with a low Hemoglobin number. Since Blood Builder is so effective, I ordered their B12 and D3 supplement as well. I suspect MegaFood products are so effective because of the added plant ingredients. Our bodies are evolved to utilize nutrients in food, not chemicals in pills. These are the first 'pills' that seem to work the same as the actual foods themselves. I will never use any other iron supplement and I recommend Blood Builder to EVERY person I talk to. And since I am at the blood bank regularly I have that opportunity quite often. My OB/GYN said I need to take Calcium now so I'll be ordering it from MegaFood as well. And like the cherry on top of a sundae, the all recyclable packing they use when they ship my supplements is a boost to lowering our carbon footprint. Thank you for that!

I love your product, but
I love your product, but packing and shipping needs attention. One of the two bottles I ordered was smashed and glass was scattered all throughout the product. Had to throw that one out.

Best Answer:  Hello Londi,

What I've learned over the past 2yrs is that you must be consistent with taking it daily. Although my levels went from 10 to 12 within 3mths, If I go more than a week without taking it, I get tired again.

You may also consider taking D3 and Magnesium as well. I've found the combination works best for me.

can I take more than one pill per day. My doctor prescribed 2 to 3 regular iron pills per day but could not take because of side effects? Thanks

Best Answer:  Yes, you can take it more than once a day. I took it twice daily during pregnancy for a couple of months. And I know a mom who took it 4 times a day. If your levels are down, it should be safe.
