Tastes and smells TERRIBLE! Foams when mixed with water. I reached out to customer service but no response

This is the only protein that works for me. I have sensitivity with other whey proteins and this one is just great. No bloatness and no awful taste.

I gave this 3 stars because it is definitely a love/hate relationship. The product has given me results and I feel great?..when I can manage to choke it down. It is beyond horrible. It does have a taste. Almost like burnt hamburger. It's very mild and barely noticeable. The disgusting part is that this doesn't mix with ANYTHING. I have tried it in water, milk, cottage cheese, etc. In any liquid, it doesn't mix at all, at ALL, and makes nasty little burnt hamburger tasting clumps. You literally have to chew it to swallow it. In cottage cheese, it loses the taste, but just makes a disgustingly textured, high protein sludge. I will not buy this again unless they come up with a formula that blends better.

Mixes ok in water? the real 5 stars is in the absorption and results taking this CLEAN protein with the right BCAA combo. Just add some creatine monohydrate. N do it all unflavored? don't be a wimp.

Ugh. I put this in liquid that was about 1/3 juice and 2/3 water. The taste was nasty. It's like what I would imagine bone marrow tastes like. I am hesitant to put it in a smoothie. But I see that many people on here add it to smoothies with taste impact. IDK, I am skeptical.

Wow! This tastes surprisingly great! Nutty, malty flavor that works well with the most subtle shake flavors.

***Comparison review between the old and new one.*** I am not sure when they changed the product, I last order it 8/23/2023. I give last years version 5/5 stars but I understand why others might not like it as much and here's why. It tasted just like an unseasoned but better quality beef ramen packet. I in fact enjoyed mixing it into home made dashi and ramen seasonings and it would quite literally taste like good beef ramen soup! It also dissolved the easiest out of any protein powder I ever used, did not even need a shaker. I could stir it into the last of my coffee (yeah strange taste combo but still less weird then all those sweetened flavored whey and soy proteins out there) and it would completely melt in. Perfect.

Now the newer batch I just received is different and I do not like the changes. But you might like it for the same reasons I do not. Here's why. The beef taste and smell is completely gone, so if you didn't like that before, try this again. If you told and tricked me that this was some kind of soy or whey based protein I might believe you. It also tastes slightly sweet!? I don't think I would put this in my ramen anymore. Now the biggest thing I do not care for: it no longer dissolves as well as it used to. I can't spoon stir melt it in like before. It's very clumpy and squidgy like most other brands and types of protein. I'll have to try a shaker now.

So I give the old one 5/5 for its good beef taste
And I personally give the new one 3/5 for losing the beef flavor and ease of mixing, but make this 4 or 5 out of 5 for YOU if you didn't like the beef taste before, it now tastes neutral and very similar to a good flavorless soy/whey protein. I could imagine baking with this. I'd still rather use this over a soy or whey!

I absolutely fell in love with this protein shake. I have so much energy and feel great after working out. It keeps me full so I don't eat as much as I used to. Love the ingredients in this shake. Will order over and over.
