One thing I like about this product is that there is a phone number where you can speak to a doctor and ask questions. The number is on the product. I have been using Ererita pro-gets since I was 48 and just turned 65. Keeps me in balance. I love it and my family and friends do too.

  It does help it you put it directly on that area, but that is probably because it is a cream. That is not the way you are supposed to use it, but I do, and it helps.

  I agree with your doctor. This is a great product to naturally replace the estrogen cycle after menopause, thus keeping the bones healthy and strong. I have used it for a while now and am very pleased with how it keeps the hot flashes in check too.

  I have used Pro Gest for at least ten years, beginning during perimenopause and now during menopause. As a person who is also very sensitive to chemicals, perfumes, fragrance, and medications, I can relate to your concerns about experiencing side effects. For me, there have never been
any negative effects for me from using this product. Personally, I'm not
aware of if specifically helping with anxiety and fat loss, but perhaps I'm
just not aware of that use. I hope that helps.

  Hello. I have been using pro-gest for about 5 years now, first for pre-menopausal headaches and now for post-menopausal hot flashes. The pro-gest helps some for both symptoms but does not relieve these symptoms by itself. Since I have heard from a number of sources that pre and post menopausal women could benefit from taking pro-gest and getting the progesterone, i am guessing that I am better off with it than without it, and I continue to use it. I have never had any side effects from using it. Because I now am taking Lipitor I have my liver tested regularly, and I have had no problems with my liver from the Lipitor or anything else, including the pro-gest. I do not know if pro-gest is recommended for anxiety and fat loss. It has not helped me lose weight.

I have been using the Progest for several years, and have had cholesterol and liver tests once/year for at least the past three. Everything was normal. I really haven't noticed any side effects at all from the Progest.

The bad news is that I don't think it has done anything to help me with fat loss. On the other hand, I haven't gained any either, despite eating more than I should, as always. So perhaps it has helped.

I'm using this for hot flashes occurring during menopause. I have not had any negative side affects. my advice is to not utilize any Big Pharmecy products if your sensitive.
There is a world of natural healthy alternatives. prevention is also useful key. One I've been actively using for over 30 yrs
My question would be why are you considering using this for anxiety or weight loss

  I have used Emerita Pro-Gest for over 10 years with no negative side effects. Relief of anxiety and mood shifts is a primary benefit I receive from Pro-Gest. Many progesterone creams have a number of herbal products in them also, and these are often problematic for those with allergies or sensitivities. Pro-Gest has fewer ingredients than many other formulations.

  I have used this for 5 years and have had only positive results. I have a yearly physical w/ bloodwork and all is well. I will use it with my Dr advice for as long as needed. This cream is also recommended by Dr Christina Northup in her book about menopause. Best in health.

You might also be able to find a health care practitioner in your area who can offer an evaluation of your need for progesterone through saliva testing, questionnaires, or other means

  I am only 55 years old and still having my cycle so I am not a good source for this. I personally have heard that it is safe to use after menopause just take a break perhaps once a day at night is helpful for sleep and then 3 weeks on and one week off. I am very sensitive to lotions and chemicals. This is the cream I have used for 15 years. I have tried others and had reations, this one my OB recommended and seems to work, it is much cheaper at Vit Shoppe.

  I don't think you are too old to try anything! I have noticed it has helped me with the hot flashes and mood swings. I use it every 23 days then off from the 1st thru the 7th of the month as directed. Give it a try. Buy a small container at first to see if you find some relief. Give it a month to kick it.   Absolutely not. I am older than you and use it every day. Good for your ;bones for one thing. You hear alot about Estrogen replacement, but your body also needs the progesterone and this is one of the safest ways to get it.

  USP simply stands for United States pharmaceutical grade. You should always look for a cream that is 100% USP grade progesterone.
The USP sets standards for purity, quality, strength, and consistency.If progesterone is said to be USP grade that means it has met the standards of the USP for quality. The USP is not regulated by the FDA. However, all products given USP approval have been subjected to a rigorous set of quality standards.
My understanding is that it can come from Mexican wild yams, or from soy beans.

  I read a book sometime ago (I think the title was something like "What Your Doctor Won't Tell You About Menopause"), and it discussed natural progesterone as opposed to synthetics and estrogens. I can't locate that book now, but I seem to recall that natural progesterone creams are plant-based (yam?). I also seem to recall that Pro-Gest was one of the products that the book recommended. It was also recommended to me by my clinical nutritionist. Sorry I can't be more specific about this. Hope it helps!

  It is plant based, takes the place of our natural progesterone and when used with the natural estrogen seems to mimic the natural bodily hormones. I've used it for about 15 years and haven't died yet!

  Safe as far as recommended usage? I've been using this product for 2 years with no problems. My doctor recommended it for pre-menopausal symptom relief and it has helped. If you're considering using this in some other non-traditional (oral, etc.) way however you should check with your doctor and/or directly on the emerita website for whatever concerns you have.
