Mix two scoops of ESSENTIAL AMINO ENERGY in 10-12 oz of cold water. FOR AN AMINO ACID BOOST: Consume one or more servings first thing in the morning and/or between meals. FOR PRE-WORKOUT ENERGY: Take 1-3 servings 20-30 minutes before training. FOR POST-WORKOUT RECOVERY: Take 1-2 servings immediately after training. TIPS: ESSENTIAL AMINO ENERGY contains 50 mg of caffeine per scoop, so do not consume after 5:00 PM if you have difficulty sleeping. Trash until something changes
Wish this did not have artificial food dyes. I will not be buying again until the ingredients change. I do not care if Grape flavored is purple looking, or if Strawberry flavored is red looking, etc.

Taste and effectiveness has suddenly changed
I've used this stuff off and on since 2017 and I have loved it. Suddenly they've all started to change. All flavors that is. They all taste very medicine-like now. Actually tastes terrible now. It slowly started happening in a canister here and there BEFORE covid. So it's not that. Seems to not have as much caffeine boost anymore either (yes I have cycled off then back on) I can't get a clear answer out of Optimum nor Vitamin Shoppe. They play dumb. But maybe it's me? Has anyone else noticed this?

I have been using the amino energy grape for a couple of years now. Unfortunately the recent purchase and some over the past several months have the taste inconsistent. My latest one I purchased taste very weak. Disappointed in the taste being different each time but the product still gives me energy I want and need before and after workouts.

Great throughout the day, and nightly workout
I'm not a coffee drinker, so I use this in the morning, and after lunch when I start to drag. It's not too strong to cause jitters, but it's great for clearing my head and keeping me going. For my nightly workout, I like to add a scoop of Amino Energy to my ON Gold Standard Pre-Workout. Of the three flavors that I've tried, Grape is the best.
