Not good

I bought this in March 2026 to try an unflavored protein powder. I still haven't finished it 4 months later. The taste is awful. This is one I won't be buying again. More than likely will throw the rest away.

I love It

I mix this protein powder with unsweetened soy milk, frozen blueberries and cherries and sometimes a little non dairy yogurt. Perfect. I absolutely love there is no stevia or other yucky sweeteners in it. My only question is safety of pea protein and have to tested lead amounts?

Too much foam

When I use my protein shaker bottle and put milk in and shake it, a lot turns into foam and is not drinkable. The consistency is more grainy than my old protein shake

Tastes very bad

Calling this protein powder "unflavored" is very disingenuous when it clearly is glue flavored. No amount of fruit, honey, and/or yogurt can mask the grotesque flavor and mouth feel of gluey-chalk. This is a risk with all unflavored protein powders, and this is one where you reap the consequences. I only use this because I have it and can't return it and the only thing I loathe more than the flavor of this powder is wasting food. Save your money or get a different flavor.

great neutral protein powder

I absolutely love this protein powder. It doesn't have any stevia or fake sugar, it's choke full of nutrition and is practically invisible in my smoothie.

Disgusting taste, smell and texture

Taste is horrible and it NEVER dissolves. Even blended in a smoothie it is still chunky. How?? You'd be better off blending up an actual can of beans or peas. I keep trying to choke this down bc it wasn't cheap, but it's so gross. Finally throwing it out today.

Love this Protein

This is my favorite protein powder. I add it to my morning shake, fruit, half of a banana, and spinach. I dont want a flavor or sweetener, the fruit is all I need for flavor. I live that This has high quality ingredients and no added sweetener. My only complaint would be that it only has 20 servings. Make it 30 please.

I'm sorry to say I cannot stand the taste. I bought this protein powder because it was organic and the reviews said it was delicious when mixed with water. This is false. It tastes horrible when mixed with water. Even when blended with six different fruits to try and hide the taste, it's still terrible. You can feel to power when you swallow and the aftertaste reminds me of sawdust for some reason. Given the price I had much higher expectations.

It is a good source of clean, plant based protein, sweetened with stevia, which will not spike insulin. It is relatively low calorie, and I use it to boost my protein levels in meals and smoothies. The product itself doesn't promote weight loss, but in my opinion, it's a good source protein grams and low carb and very low sugar. I eat very, very clean and workout six days per week, so I need a lot of protein to keep myself together. I use this brand interchangeably with a couple of other plant based protein powders I found to like over the years.Calories in/calories out BUT you want those "IN calories" to be nutritionally sound to power your body and mind.I find the flavor to be pretty good, but it is a bit chalky. Long answer, but I hope this sort of helped?

I found the vanilla flavor to be not only flavorful but lent itself to more creativity...adaptable to as many flavors as I added other ingredients. Ex. Adding berries, cacao or tropical fruit changed the monotony of drinking just plain vanilla.

I have tried both and the vanilla is my favorite. You can add it to just about any kind of juice (pineapple, YUM!) but even just adding it to water is good. Highly recommend the vanilla!

I would mix in a small shaker cup with water or almond milk for better flavor . Its thick so really I prefer to use my majic bullet and add ice and fruit also... The original taste by itself takes some getting used to. The protein is a good source though.

I mix it in a cup of unsweetened almond milk. The powder has Stevia as a sweetener and that is plenty. I use a little battery operated frothing tool that I got at Bed Bath and Beyond. A spoon doesn't quite get it mixed.

hi, i didn't ever use it in a hot beverage, but i don't think it would taste very good that way. it really needs to be mixed in a blender for optimal taste. i blend almond milk (2cups) with 2 scoops of Raw Protein and also add a scoop of Green Vibrance which you can get from the vitamin shoppe. it has a ton of vitamins and probiotics which is a great combination with this powder. hope this helps.

Are you asking how much protein? If so, 17 grams or 33%. It has a chalky taste, but I get around that by blending with 1.5 cups of water, frozen berries, and 1 TBLS of cocoa powder.

Is this product vegan? The reason I ask is the vitamin d listed does not specify if it is D3 (cholecalciferol which is from an animal source) or D2 (ergocalciferol which is from plant source). Thanks.

It says on the front of the container that it is a Veganproduct towards the bottom. Then on the back by the Vitamin D there is an asterisk that points to the end which again indicates that it is of plant source.

The label states it is a vegan product, but it is not certified vegan and there is no breakdown of the vitamin D source, so to be absolutely sure you would probably need to contact the Garden of Life company.

I cannot tell you with certainty, but here are some possilbe reasons: (1) The scoop provides certain vitamins at dosage levels that are fine for an adult but would cause harm to an infant. Certain vitmanis are lethal if you take beyond a certain amount and the dosage varies. (2) The scoop provides more protein than advisable for a child (I'm not 100% sure that this is the case). (3) The company does not want any liability.Children's bodies are distinctly different from adults with different body chemistry and notable differences in body mass and weight. Just like you would not give a regular does of Tylenol to a child, you should not use dietary supplements meant for adults for children. While it is possible that they might suffer no harm from them, it is also possible to cause them irreparable harm. You are better off playing it safe especially since dietary supplements are NOT regulated by the FDA and there is no independent assurance of their safety. The company has already washed its hands off any liability by warning you not to use it on children; if you do so and your child is harmed then you have no one to blame but yourself...

Raw Protein does not have the chalky consistency that some powders do; it is smooth and quite pleasant tasting. I add it to smoothies. I have not experienced any difficulties with any of Garden of Life's products where upset stomach or bowels are concerned. Not even with their detox fiber.

it tastes kind of nutty/soy like. It's hard to describe. I think it tastes good. I like it in apple juice, but have also mixed it in oatmeal and other smoothies. i have not had any stomach issues or side effects, but I don't have any food sensitivities.
