Can Be Paradoxical
Much information exists on utilization of this nutrient (found in foods) for amelioration of anxiety, insomnia, and OCD. However, a small number of people do experience Inositol's exacerbation of these same symptoms, ironically. After 3 days, I too experienced similar negative reactions after consuming only about 2-3 grams, and discontinued immediately.

Perfect fix for my PCOS
I bought this after doing some research on what would help with my PCOS. My biggest concern was my lack of menstrual cycles, especially when my husband and I decided we wanted to have a child. We tried, unsuccessfully, for almost three years. This included fertility treatment (provera + clomid).

So, I gave inositol a chance. The first month taking it, I got my period. (I can go 6+ months without getting one usually). It also helped boost my mood, so I was impressed and bought another bottle.
The second month taking it, I got pregnant with my son! I was amazed how quickly this helped my body get on track. It seemed to work right away. I continued taking a small dose of it throughout my first trimester, because I read that it helps progesterone levels, which is essential for the baby to have in the beginning. I did, however, stop taking it for the rest of the pregnancy since there is limited info on safety while pregnant. I plan to use it again when I'm through breastfeeding.

I recommend women who suffer from PCOS try this out and see how it works for you. It's a B Vitamin, so you're not putting the synthetic hormones of birth control to regulate in your body (BC always made me crazy emotionally, inositol did not) And a much cheaper and natural remedy for fertility drugs.

Great Sleep Aid!!!!
I have had problems sleeping for years. The constant waking up all night was taking a toll on me. I was extremely tired all the time and had trouble focusing. After about 1 week of taking this product I started sleeping through the night and finally getting the rest I so desperately needed. A side benefit of this product is that my hair has gotten thicker. I am also giving it to my 9 yr. old grandson and we are seeing his ADHD symptoms improve greatly.

What form of inositol is in this product (myo? d-chiro? mixed?)?

Best Answer:  The answer above is inaccurate. Inositol does have several isomers, D chiro and myo being the main ones. This is likely myo because that isomer can be taken alone or combined with D chiro. Although D chiro can be taken alone, it is best to have a combination with a larger percentage from myo.

Best Answer:  I had to look that up, but according to Wikipedia, its the same "myo-inositol (former names meso-inositol or i-inositol)" They do list other stereoisomers in the inositol molecule but say they are produced in minimal quantities. I've never seen it sold by any other name, just inositol - and I find it very effective.
