Not quite
I now know taking curcumin alone doesn't quite do the trick. It needs other ingredients to make it bioavailable, otherwise it isn't effectively absorbed into your system.

Best product for the money
I have always liked the Jarrow products for high quality and value. This is no exception. You get 500 mg and 60 capsules for a great price.I would recommend this product.

Works very well
I would give Jarrow Curcumin 95 five stars but for the fact I take other potentially anti-inflammatory supplements such as EPA/DHA from fish oil. I also take a popular joint formula for joint and overall mobility. Finally, I take both pre- and pro-biotic supplements once a day, plus I eat plenty of Bulgarian and Greek Yogurt, and sauerkraut. I take 4 capsules of the Jarrow Curcumin 95 a day, but I am thinking of reducing the dose to 2 capsules just to see if there is a significant change in positive benefits.

Why did you choose this?

I have been looking for it. I saw it on Facebook and I won’t buy it there.

severe osteoarthritis in both knees

pain/ inflammation

Helps with inflammation.

As a current preventative for different things, I'm on a low-dose aspirin regimen (one 81-grain aspirin a day). I've heard that I probably shouldn't be taking Curcumin/Tumeric along with that because of possible intestinal bleeding problems (or the greater likelihood that might happen if I mix aspirin and curcumin). Anyone with any experience/history with taking them in combo? Any opinions? Thanks....

Best Answer:  I do not take any medications, I've been taking Curcumin for the past 3 weeks for arthritic knee pain. I has found great relief and increased mobility.I think the effects of Aspirin and Curcumin are similar therefore the chances of intestinal bleeding. My best advise in this matter is to check with your physician for possible side effects

How much is too much of Cucurmin? I have high inflammation with many joint replacements due to osteoarthritis. What is the suggested dosage for my condition? Thanks, Barbara

Best Answer:  Hi, Barbara. According to a May 2013 clinical study on turmeric and curcumin by the University of Maryland, the recommended dosage for adults is 400-600 mg 3 times per day.

I have read about the benefits of this product for mild to moderate depression. I'm wondering if this product is safe for 11 year old boys? I have a son who struggles with anxiety and depression and I'm looking for a natural alternative to meds.

Best Answer:  I don't know if it's good for depression, but it's definitely safe to take. As the main ingredient in the spice curry, millions of people take curcumin as a dietary staple every day. There have been no reported cases of overdose, ever. A May 2013 study by the University of Maryland suggests 400-600 mg 3 times per day for adults. No pediatric clinical studies have been done. Curcumin may cause heartburn at first, so I'd suggest starting out with a low dose and increase it slowly. For myself, it took about 3 weeks to adjust to each 500 mg increase.

ingredients in product and what is it used for?

Best Answer:  Probably better to look it up on wikipedia, but is is probably one of the most powerful derivitives from Turmeric

does this help w/ severe nerve pain and fibromylgia? how about back pain, cholesteralpls advise

Best Answer:  I can't answer your specific question. An herbalist recommended it for joint health. Tumeric, it's other name, is an ingredient in Indian cooking and I suspect it aids my digestion as well.

From all I read curcumin is not effective without peperine (pepper). Does this product contain peperine or do users take peppercorns in addition to this supplement?

Best Answer:  Supplement Facts on the vitamin shoppe website do not indicate piperine is contained in this product. It is my understanding that turmeric supplements without pepper are not easily absorbed. The brand I take now does have piperine in it.

IS THERE ANY BENEFIT TO TAKING THIS SUPPLEMENT FOR PEOPLE WITH HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE?
what is curcumin good for?

Best Answer:  My research has indicated that curcumin is excellent for the brain and the heart. It is also considered an anti-inflammatory agent and a natural pain reliever among the fairly long list of other benefits.

Does contain BCM-95?

Best Answer:  My bottle is gone now so I don't know. But ingredients are listed on Vitamin Shoppe website and you can see them before you order it.
