This helps calm my busy mind at night
I learned this trick from Dr. Paul Saladino to take L-Methylfolate at night if you have genetic variants in the MTHFR and COMT. I often have issues with "wide awake" brain at bedtime as I'm not good at breaking down catecholamines including dopamine. This has been helping me sleep better immensely!!

It must be okay, because I'm not feeling worse.
I'm mostly anti-supplement except for medical reasons (i.e., a diagnosed deficiency or genetic metabolic issue) because I'm a big skeptic: I need peer-reviewed, repeatible studies. So I can only go off of this: I have an MTHFR gene issue of "moderate severity" via the test my psychiatrist had done for me, which is supposed to predict how well your body can metabolize antidepressants and such. Is this similar to metanx prescription vitamin?

  L-methylfolate is one of about 4 or 5 ingredients in metanx. Metanx also has the non cyanide bound form of B12 and has calcium in it. These ingredients together are thought to help neuropathy in diabetics.
