I honestly don't know why you wonder what isn't in it. It's Inulin and it doesn't come from China. I've taken it for years.

  Inulin.

  It's a soluble plant fiber. This means that it helps increase the health of your digestive tract and actually helps increase the absorption of the nutrients you take in because it slows down their digestion rate. If you mix this with a whey protein or any other type of protein it will extend the release time so its in your system longer. This is a great thing to do before bed when you wont be eating for awhile. It's also beneficial because it helps aid in the growth of good bacteria in your digestive system which help your digestive tract function optimally.

  I have been doing the same thing for years. I first used chocolate whey protein, but now I use chocolate egg white protein. I also add Garden of Life "Perfect food" and coconut milk, the Perfect food is green power and it takes a while to get use to the taste, but it good for you.......

  I don't seem to have any problems. I dissolve it in a glass of cold water -- don't know if it makes a difference. I've been taking it for about a year now - ever since Benefibre got too expensive. It seems to work as well.

  Of course, it's fiber!!! It does get better. The first 2-3 weeks it should get better. Do raise your fiber intake gradually, don't go from 10 grams a day to 35 all at once.

  The only ingredient mentioned is Inolin from (100%) vegetable fiber. However, there is a warning for pregnant or nursing mothers which makes me wonder if there is anything else in there.

  I use a teaspoon. I would suggest starting with that and then adjust accordingly as needed.
