Natrol® 5-HTP TR 200mg Time Release is a drug-free plantderivedsource of an amino acid that naturally increases thebody's level of serotonin, the chemical messenger that affectsemotions, behavior, appetite, thought and sleep. Regular use ofNatrol 5-HTP helps provide a more positive outlook, promotesrelaxation, calm and greater appetite control. Directions

Adults, take 1 tablet, up to two times daily with a meal. Do not exceed recommended intake.

Great results

My doctor recommended HTP5. I wanted something to help balance out my mood. I was a little hesitant to take a controlled substance. I am so happy I found this supplement. My mood is more even. I?m less anxious and overall more happy.

Fall Asleep right Away!

Love this brand! I fall asleep fast with 200mg, & feel rested in the morning if I take 20mg of Melatonin along with it!

Worked as it states

These definitely work to promote a relaxed mood. I took as directed on the bottle and it seemed to work immediately. I did feel very relaxed, butvslso felt a bit tired. I eill continue to use these though.

I felt great on it, but

I took my time with this product prior to leaving a review. I read that two+ weeks of continuous usage was required to understand the full impact. I really did feel great on this. The only issue is that I started have jaw tremors and tightness. Once I stopped this seemed to go away. Given how well I felt, I might try it again to see if the jaw was something else. Definitely recommend trying it though!

Big Help

Love 5-HTP to help with my mood and stress levels, especially during these difficult times. This is a time-release tablet that doesn't really have a taste, but it definitely helps. Good for restorative use or whenever you are feeling down.

Best Answer: It is very effective when you have anxiety, depression, psychological pressure, etc. Since it calms you down, it helps you get a better sleep. It should work with in a few days and you will notice. If it does not help you at all after you take it for a week, then I recommend L-Tryptophan 500mg a day. Once you feel better and get a better night sleep, then try to go back to 5-HTP. 5-HTP is a precursor to L-Tryptophan, therefore, it will work faster but you will lose your body's own ability to make L-Tryptophan from 5-HTP. So try the following steps:
1. Take 5-HTP 200mg in the afternoon or after dinner and melatonin 3mg when you are on bed.
2. If 1. does not work, then try L-Tryptophan 500mg and melatonin 3mg.
3. If 2. works, then stay on 2. for 3-4 weeks. If you feel better for a few days continuously, then stop 2. and try 1. again.

Can 5HTP be taken if I had a melanoma?

Best Answer: I’m sorry, I don’t know specific to melanoma but my understanding is it’s tryptophan which is in turkey. So if you can eat turkey, I would think it’s safe. My son has multiple disabilities and was a candidate for mytochondrial disorder and it’s safe for him.
