  Absolutely. Depending on how I am that day, I take a 1/4 to 1/2 tablet. I sleep better if I do this also. Taking a whole tablet (unless it is a really stressful day) can make my dreams a little weird. So I usually take 1/4 - 1/2 at a time. Works great for me.

  No it does not. It is a natural amino acid. It is a natural relaxant to the body (similar to a muscle relaxer). I take it during the day to help with stress/anxiety or take it at night to help me sleep. I also have a neice who is ADHD and it helps her greatly.
