I ALSO MUST TAKE ZANTAC BECAUSE OF ESPHOGITIS. ALSO, REVIEW THE CURRENT MEDS/VITS YOU ARE TAKING TO SEE IF SOMETHING IS NOT JIVING.   I take Ultrazyme with a meal. I will take the Ultrazyme just before I eat the meal or just after starting the meal. I've never had any problem whatsoever. I've been using Ultrazyme for years. No problem here with anything at all.

  Katherine – I am gluten intolerant/sensitive and have taken 6-8 Ultra-Zymes EVERY day for the past 5 years so that my body can tolerate dairy. I am on a totally gluten free diet and these have never bothered me. Please note I do not have Celiac disease, so it may be different for someone with the actual disease.   Contact manufacturer as it's possible that there is mislabeling. We are not gluten intolerant in our home, and this product contains ingredients that are helpful to our digestion. I think this company will accept input.

  Ultra-Zyme is a digestive aid. I usually take one immediately after a hearty lunch and dinner to help me digest what I have ate quicker. If lunch or dinner is light (for example, a soup and sandwich, fruits), I might not take one. It all depends on how digestive system feels and reacts when digesting different foods (for example, sense of fullness or bloating). You are the only one who knows how your own body feels and reacts.

  Digestive enzymes are best taken just before a meal. Sometimes I'll forget and take it with the meal or just after. Not optimal but still effective. If you eat something more difficult to digest such as meat or some other dense protein or you eat too much and are feeling overly full or bloated, you can take a second one.

  I would say that the truly best time to take Ultrazyme is right after a meal. I've tried it the first thing in the morning only to get an upset stomach, and also before bed only find my stomach grumbling most of the night. It works best to help individuals who have trouble with their digestion.

  Lisa, I have taken them on an empty stomach and with meals. I usually have one in the morning and one at lunch with and/or right before I eat. For me, the time of day does not seem to matter. But they work well.

  I've found it works best one or two hours after eating. Don't take it on an empty stomach. I have taken it after any meal. Immediately after eating doesn't seem to work as well as 2 hours after.

  I take 2 with meals, in the middle of a meal or right after. These are wonderful enzymes and they contain the ox bile which is great for breaking down protein. Hope that helped!

  The bottle states to take 2 daily. I take 2 at night unless I am going to a party or wedding where a lot of different foods will be served. Then I will take before the party.

  I take two in the morning just as I start to eat breakfast. I think you shouldn't take them on an empty stomach or you could get heartburn. At least I do. Sometimes I take 2 more later in the day if I have a big meal. And then I take them with the meal.

  Sometimes, depending on what I am eating, I will take one in the morning before breakfast and one before lunch. I have taken up to three if I eat a lot of protein that day. Love this product!

I take one before meals. I had a doctor tell me that was the best way and I do feel better when I take them like that. I don't feel bloated. Hope this helps.

  I don't think that two in the morning will help all day, not in my case it hasn't. I take them with any meal or snack that might cause me digestive issues.

  I find that the best thing to do is to break a one in half, take one part with the first bite or two, and then take the other at the end.

  I was taking them in the morning. That seemed to help with my problems digestive problems. Hope this helps.
