Directions

Take one (1) rounded teaspoon (5 g) daily. Start by taking one (1) serving per day. Gradually increase to three (3) servings per day if needed. Stir powder briskly into at least eight (8) ounces (full glass) of liquid.

This product must be taken with at least 8 oz. of water, as it contains Psyllium Husks. Taking Psyllium Husks without a full glass of liquid may cause choking. A very bad product formulation
This is the abosolute worst product. Impossible to mix, makes a sticky mess and even will glue itself to your teeth. Unbelievable that Vitamin Shoppe would have this product in their lineup. If they would have tried it, they wouldn't sell it. BAD!

Good value, difficult powder.
Excellent value for its serving count, however it mixes horribly. You have to pour in the powder slowly and with space, I advice you use something like an automatic shaker bottle to make it easier to deal with.

Great stuff, but must use shaker cup!
Yes, and all PURE psyllium powders work fantastically ! All you need for this to work out great is get a shaker cup. You get your nine or 10 ounces of water 1 tablespoon of this stuff you shake it up real good for about 10 seconds pop the lid off and chug it down cause it will if you let it sit there.. he'll up.This is the fiber you want to take any other fiber is a joke, but you have to use a little bit of effort and get a cup with a lid that seals to shake it up. You cannot mix it up with a spoon. If you can mix any fiber with water and a spoon you're not taking the right type of fiber. This will change your life.

ok if you mix it with non-powdered husks
The review from Joan D on 7/2/2024 is correct, however, I mixed my last batch with non-powdered psyllium husks along with some expired orange flavored psyllium powder that I'm using up (a different brand), and it works great. My ratio is (based on volume, not weight), one scoop of the orange flavored powder, two scoops of this product, and three scoops of non-powdered psyllium husks. It works for me, so I am purchasing more of this product today.

Excellent Product (But for the money? Not sure about that)
Looks like the price has gone up around 400% compared to my last visit here (may have been a couple years ago. Hard to say since they've deleted my order history).
It was a very good product, but I'll be shopping around for a better price.
The other reviewer complained about the consistency, but that is what it's supposed to be.
He was used to a highly processed and refined product - this one is not like that.
I'll give it 5 stars, even though the price increase was shocking.

The Vitamin Shoppe Psyllium Husk Powder
I've been taking psyllium husk, both powdered and whole, for years and this one is my absolute least favorite. It is really, really powdery. Powdery like powdered sugar, except really heavy and dense. It does not mix well in water and leaves lots of lumpy globs. I've tried mixing it in different temperatures of water but that doesn't make a difference. Vigorously shaking it in a covered jar works somewhat better than stirring it but it still leaves gooey globs. I will not be buying this one again.
