I can't say enough good things about these Double Chocolate Chunk Protein bars. Love the flavor. I have at least one a day. They are great for a quick pick up between meals or I even eat one for breakfast. Also, they are great to take on an airplane or hiking. Love them!

Great taste

Sucralose is Spenda! This is a chemical that can cause obesity and heart disease, to name a few. It is toxic to our bodies. I would not touch these bars if you were giving them away. If you want to read more, google search Dr. Mercola's website and articles on sucralose-dangers. Sorry to be so blunt but people need to keep manufacturers in check with their claims vs their ingredients!???

Protein says 20g. 4 calories per g of protein is 80 calories. same goes for carbs and it says 24g of carbs. so 24 x 4 = 96. 96 + 80 = 176 calories. but it only says there are 170 calories. Am i missing something?

Best Answer:  It's just integer rounding. Almost all nutrition info panels have the same sort of rounding.

I'm concerned that these may be a bit too high in fiber. Has anyone had any issues with digestive discomfort?

Best Answer:  Hi Beth Anne. I have bought several of the Quest bars for at least a year now. I have them regularly including the Chocolate Brownie flavor. These bars are very dense and filling. I would suggest only eating half a bar first and see how you react. That is what I did and had no problems with the digestion. Remember to drink plenty of water when having so much fiber. My digestive system is very sensitive but yet I have not had a problem.

As I said these bars are dense and filling so they may seem heavy in your digestive system. I often only eat half a bar at a time. I do eat them almost every day and have not had a problem with them at all. No pain or stomach distress at all. They do however keep me regular.

Hope that helps. If you like brownies you will love the chocolate brownie flavor.

Best Answer:  There are no sugar alcohols in the Chocolate Brownie bars per the ingredient/nutritional label, and also as stated right in the Vitamin Shoppe's product description where it says: "No sugar or sugar alcohols used."

They are sweetened with Lo Han Guo and sucralose.

Is the taste satisfying? I love brownies and I am not getting my hopes up high expecting this to taste like a real brownie. But, I need to know if it tastes at least a little bit like one!

Best Answer:  I would buy the chocolate chunk over these. They are good but at the end of the day it's a protein bar. My favorites are chocolate chip cookie dough and their newest S'mores. The Oreo are pretty good too. I hope that helps.

The product info says:
"Quest is the first truly low carb bar that doesn't contain glycerin, simple carbs, sugars or artificial sweeteners."

But there is sucralose which is an artificial sweetener. Splenda is the commercial name for sucralose.

I'm confused. Help?
