Overall worth trying it's a 50/50 it either interacts very well or terribly

I have a love hate relationship with this product puts me and my gf to sleep within 30 mins we sleep good for 5 hours then wakeup wide awake not tired at all which is sorta a positive??? But it's also not a night's worth of sleep so it's also not one and no matter what we do we can't wakeup. But this is also not the same for everyone my friend takes the same thing and sleeps great through the full night so definitely worth trying

Reformulated version is inferior to previous product (Snooze Right) after melatonin was added

I've taken the previous formulation of this (called Snooze Right) for years. It was basically this same product without melatonin. I only take melatonin as needed, maybe a few times per month, whereas I would take this product very often. Now I have to purchase a combination of products (from other supplement manufacturers) to get the same combination without melatonin. They had almost the perfect product and then ruined it by adding an unnecessary ingredient.

Not my favorite

Doesn't really work for me.. I take 2 at night with hot/ warm water and still find myself waking up throughout the night and not able to fall back asleep. I also find the pills to be large and needing to drink a decent amount of water after

Why add Melatonin?

Vitamin Shoppe used to make this product without melatonin (called Snooz Right) and it worked wonderfully for me for years. I have tried this one with melatonin and it caused me to have bad dreams made me feel weird in the morning. I don't know why they had to discontinue the other because it had all the ingredients except for melatonin.

Very disappointing. It does not help me sleep through the night. I tried it 4 times, but each night I woke up at 2 am and couldn't fall back to sleep for 2-3 hours.

They get stuck in my throat: annoying!

These get stuck in my throat, even with a good amount of water. Maybe if I ate food after it wouldn't be an issue but that's not what I want to do at bedtime. Or drink two glasses of water. And I'm no noobie on swallowing pills and capsules either.

Didn't work for me

The consultant at the store sold me on it, said that her boyfriend and her mother swear by it. It worked great the first two times (I was drowsy within a half-hour) but by the third time it stopped working. Tried it a fourth the next night and nothing. I guess It lost its effectiveness with me. It would be nice if it was sold in a smaller quantity. I still have more than 100 capsules left.

What is the maximum number of capsules you can take safely?

The recommended dosage per use is one capsule, taken at bedtime. I don't know if any of the herbs in these capsules can be toxic at higher than recommended doses, but I cannot see wanting or needing to take more than one. They break down pretty quickly, and if you burp not long after taking one, it is a dirt burp, rather than the fish burp you get from taking fish oil. If you are asking cumulative, I have been taking them nightly for quite some time with no ill affect. They will not counteract the affect of too much caffeine.

I take no more than two capsules a night. I wouldn't suggest taking more than that. But for any question like this, use your intuition about what is best for you. If you can get some insight from a trained herbologist who knows about nutrition and vitamins, that would also be helpful.

You can, but you will be VERY groggy the next day. The melatonin and other proprietary herbs are very effective at helping you fall and stay asleep, but they can make you feel a little sleepy the next day. The best way I have found to use it is to take one pill about an hour before bedtime, and then drink something warm, either herbal tea or warm milk. You will feel a slow drowsiness over that hour, and it won't leave you too tired the next day. Hope this helps.

I believe it is inadvisable to increase from 3mg of melatonin. I often increase the sleep herbs by taking a strong herb tea before bed containing chamomille, hops, mellisa, passion flower etc. Melatonin is not available OTC in my country unless it is in a natural form such as sour cherry syrup. I have been purchasing this supplement from The Vitamin Shoppe for several years

You can, but I don't recommend.You'd fall asleep faster, then most likely you'd wake up after about four hours or so because the amount of melatonin was larger than recommended.Stick to advised dose of one pill.

This formula has 3 mg of melatonin which is enough to knock most people out. If you take 2 you will still be very drowsy after 8 hours of sleep.
