About This Product

2:1 Ratio
The Calcium and Magnesium in this product are chemically bonded with natural citric acid to form Calcium Citrate and Magnesium Citrate. Vitamin D has also been added to enhance absorption and utilization of Calcium by the body. A special base of herbs has been included for additional nutritive support.

Directions

Use only as directed. Take 6 VegCaps daily with a meal or glass of water. Store in a cool, dry place.

exellent uptake

Had never tried the Solaray brand before but because store brand was out of stock chose it instead. Has been fine so far as a replacement - just slighty more expensive.

Good Calcium Supplement

I have been taking this specific calcium supplement for about 15 years. As a vegetarian I am very glad to see that this supplement comes in vegetarian capsules. I have been very happy with this calcium supplement which is why I continue to take it.

Have used this for many years!

I only use supplements in capsules, no tablets, unless chewable. Solaray is the best brand I have found to have high quality in capsule and or chewable form. I have nerve pain from M.S. and my supplements need to be bioavailable ASAP. I not only get nutrition, but pain relief from Solaray Cal-Mag Citrate +vitamin D 2:1 Ratio. It is so convenient to take 2 caps three x daily! Afternoon & evening dose is taken along with B-Complex Chewable, Vitamin C & Flaxseed oil gelcaps..all Solaray : ) Thanks to Solaray and other natural anti-inflammatory food supplements, I have cut my Rx meds by more than 1/2!

Cal-Mag

For osteoporosis. It is supposed to be one of the most bioavailable sources for calcium supplement. Vitamin Shoppe online has the best price.

Best Ca supplement I have found

This has been a mainstay of my supplement regimen for years now. One characteristic of this product is that the capsule material is vegetarian, and it is this detail that makes them less likely to stick in the throat, especially when taking with warm liquid like coffee or tea. Of course any capsule can be emptied out to avoid this, but I have kept to this formulation because it's easiest to use.

great formulation

This is one of the best absorbable forms of calcium and magnesium I have found and like. I also open the capsules up and dump in smoothies if I prefer not to swallow so many vitamin pills. However because they are in capsule form you do not have to swallow such BIG hard pills that some cal-mag can be.

the formula states that the capsules contain gelatin. What kind?

Best Answer: On the bottle its states that it is a vegetable cellulose capsule. And I do not see gelatin anywhere on the label; for comments and questions you can contact Solaray at the # on the label. I think you should be able to veiw it on the VS site.

Best Answer: If you look on the back of the container, under "Supplemental Facts," you will see that a serving contains 1,000 milligrams of Calcium, and 500 milligrams of Magnesium.
That is a 2:1 ratio.

Thus there are two milligrams of Calcium for every milligram of Magnesium in each "serving," which is six capsules.
