Solaray Betaine HCL appears to be only some filler only
I ordered a number of bottles of this product. I am convinced that it did not contain Betaine HCL. No effect on heartburn. I have used other brands of Betaine HCL and never had a problem. Very unhappy!!!

Helps with reflux
It help with the acid reflux I have. Iv been dealing with for so long and Dr can?t fix. I take this mainly when I eat meat. Cus if I didn?t it sits in my stomach and caused terrible reflux. So taking this I don?t have reflux after eating meat anymore

Very helpful
I have been on HCL with pepsin for a few years now and it has really helped my reflux type symptoms. Here I thought traditional medicine made since when telling me I had too much acid on my stomach when it turned out to be the opposite! Purchasing during sales helps keep the cost down, too!

Misleading labels
it says that it has no other ingredients than the ones labeled, so what they did is separate how the capsule is made: Gelatin capsule, Cellulose, Maltodrextrin and Magnesium Stearate. this is refer as the material of the capsule and the filler used to not leave it empty. is not the first time that we have bad experiences with solaray, they even have products that are labeled "vegetarian capsules" but they are really gelatin, they do not describe where does the magnesium stearate comes from, if…

I take 1 or 2 capsules before a heavy meal and it aids in digestion (no bloating or discomfort). Do not open capsule, just swallow whole I have been using this brand for over 5 years with no problems

What is HCL?

  HCL stands for hydrochloric acid i.e. stomach acid. It breaks down food and is important for the absorption of vitamins and minerals.
