Be aware of dosages
Apparently everyone is deficient in vitamin D3 these days. My doctor has been telling me this for over a year now so I finally got around to picking up this supplement. I tried to do some research on how much to take. Some manufacturers make vitamin D3 supplements with 5000IU or more! Though, most people do not need more thatn 2000IU from my reading, so I settled on these 1000IU tablets.
The tablets are small, easy to swallow, though potentially not vegan. The Cholecalciferol used to make D3 often comes from sheep. I wish I knew that beforehand.
Anyway, be aware of the dosage. I might start cutting these in half because I think I shocked my system with too much D3 all of a sudden. D3 can cause constipation (look it up). Only now did I realize the addition of D3 may have been what's causing this sudden constipation.
Consult with your doctor, of course. But if I could offer my 2 cents based on my vitamin experiences, maybe start with a small dosage to ease in. A 200 or 400IU serving to begin with and work your way up.

Great Supplement
This supplement was recommended to my by my doctor to help maintain health during the winter months in Minnesota. Since where I live limits my exposure to the sun for most of the year, this supplement has been great to help improve mental and physical health during the cold, dark days of winter. I also found it helpful for me as one more way to prevent post - partum depression after the birth of both my children.

Supplement to Multi-vitamin
My age requires extra D and I already take fish oil so I didn't want more oil.
The small, flat tablet goes down quickly and easily and fits well in my medicine organizer.
