Hi, Vitamin Shoppe? Please hear me. Stop using gelatin in your house brands. Why would you force consumers to eat cattle and swine hides, connective tissue, and/or bones if they want a plant supplement? Does this make any sense to you? We have had reliable vegan capsules for years, but you still won't change. what's up?

want Valerian ? don't buy this
I'm 55 years oldI've been taking valerian on and off since I was 20 years old.This has probably the lowest amount of valerian in the bottle as anything I have ever smelled, except maybe the tincture that I bought with this bottle.Also, it is not 100% Valerian root, which I don't know why it's notOther ingredients besides the gelatin capsule, which is not a big dealOther ingredients are rice, flour, magnesium, stearate, and silicon dioxideI've had lots of Valerian…

Works Well
I use this along with Melatonin and since I added Valerian Root, I've been able to fall asleep much more easily. While it's not as powerful as a chemical sleep pill, it is much safer and I haven't noticed any bad side effects, just better sleep. As others have mentioned, it does have a strong smell, but it's worth it and it's not like garlic that sometimes can be smelled on the person. You won't get smelly, just sleepy! Sweet dreams!

Good as a sleep aide
Works as a calmative very well. Can help with sleep issues. Doesn't really make you drowsy but will calm you down enough to sleep. You can take it with melatonin if you like. Would recommend both...

what does the Valerian Root do?
A shopper

Best Answer:  Valerian root is a natural muscle relaxer, so is good for achy muscles and minor inflammation. It also relaxes and makes you sleepy (as do many muscle relaxers) so ideally is consumed at night. Even without the need for a muscle relaxer it's a great sleepy time supplement.
