Best Answer:  Yes, it is. I take 5000 IU per day without any worry about overdosing. It can take a while to get the blood levels up, so stick with it and be patient.

Best Answer:  Vitamin D can be found in 2 forms. Vitamin D2 is manufactured by plants or fungus. You would include it through fortified foods such as juices, milk or cereals. However, vitamin D3 is formed when the body synthesizes sunlight on its surface. It mainly occurs through the exposure of the skin to UVA and UVB rays. Vitamin D3 can also be obtained by consuming animal products.

Best Answer:  Well now that is interesting that you folks that make this don't know if you are putting BHA in it. If you don't know, how the heck am I to know.

BHA is generally used to keep fats from becoming rancid. It is also used as a yeast de-foaming agent. BHA is found in butter, meats, cereals, chewing gum, baked goods, snack foods, dehydrated potatoes, and beer. It is also found in animal feed, food packaging, cosmetics, rubber products, and petroleum products.

I would not expect to find it here but am pretty confused that the makers of their own product don't know.

Best Answer:  Yes, I go to a naturopathic doctor and this is what she told me to take. I am not a vegan but I did have to adjust my whole diet which entailed a lot of vegan eating and foods so this helped a lot.

I am a vegan so I purchase one of their vegan vitamin d products for myself- my mother likes the small size of the Vitamin Shoppe's own brand - there are a few vegan brands available at the Vitamin Shoppe to choose from. If you are a vegetarian there is a raw vitamin D available at the Vitamin Shoppe. I hope this helps. Good luck.
