Won't dissolve like it used to
V Shoppe has f-ed it up again!! I went back to buying the 1.5 pound Unflavored Body Tech whey protein isolate because the 3 pound product was significantly different (keep reading, Jan 2026 below). The 1.5 pound product dissolved perfectly in coffee or tea. Now, in March 2026 they have changed the manufacturing process and the protein will not dissolve in coffee or tea.
In Jan 2026 I bought the new 3 pound size of Unflavored Body Tech whey protein isolate. It is very different than the 1.5 pound. I have been buying the 1.5 pound size for more than 5 years and use it 3 times a day so I'm very familiar with the texture and taste. The 3 pound size Protein does not dissolve in coffee as easily and the taste is bad. It tastes like and smells like bad bovine collagen. I am very disappointed.
If anybody cares at V Shoppe here are the lot numbers:
Good 1.5 pound lot number 25177-9, exp 06/30/2027
Bad 1.5 pound lot number 25262-5, exp 09/23/2027

Unflavored to avoid sugars the artificial sweeteners that I don't understand why in this country, 95% of everything have sugar (or a substitute) in it.

Great product been using it for years. I use the unflavored kind so I could put it in pretty much anything I want all day long. Like the price better before Covid hit. Getting a little too pricey now.

MAKE A 5 LB TUB PLEASE
My only issue with this is that it only comes in one (SMALL) size. This sized tub lasts me only a week.

Throw 3 scoops in a 64oz bottle, with 3 tbsp of honey, & electrolytes (flavor of your choosing) to make a perfect intra workout.

Can we get a 5LB tub of this please?!

Good stuff
My favorite protein powder. Super clean and goes down easy with almond or regular milk. Docked a star because they made the scooper bigger. They should offer this in a larger size as well but other than that, this is a great protein powder.

Bodytech Whey Protein Isolate unflavored 'NEED 5 LB COMTAINER'
The unflavored Bodytech whey protein isolate is the ONLY protein VitaminShoppe sells that is good for you. All the other Bodytech whey protein isolate's that have flavor use Sucralose which is a known toxic chemical artificially made in the lab 700 times sweeter than sugar and causes a long list of serious health problems. The other brands not only use Sucralose or some other artificial sweetener like Stevia but they also contain soy which digests into Estrogen a female hormone not good for men. The only problem here is after years of sending emails and calls and chats to Vitamin Shop they are still not offering the unflavored in a 5 lb container. Please offer Body Tech whey protein isolate unflavored in a 5 lb container! It has to be less to produce than the flavored since it does not have all the crap added to the flavored which must cost money.

Love that this product is unflavored so I can avoid all the fake sugar supplements . Mixes well with or without a blender . This is my go to protein supplement, Hard to find only in almost any store , but I can find online at Vitamin Shoppe who has it in stock more than any other store online.

Serving size change and question
Love that you offer an Unflavored version. I'd like to know why you recently changed the scoop size from 70 to 90cc but the serving size is the same weight, some level of protein, calories, etc? Do you just want customers to finish the container faster without realizing any of this?

Best Answer:  Short answer, Yes it is "unclear". Longer answer, the label indicates two ingredients; whey protein isolate and soy lecithin, with no indication of percent of each, or weight, etc. Since "BODYTECH" is a Vitamin Shoppe product, they should be able to provide you with something a bit more detailed than "I don't know" or agree that the label is "unclear".
