Directions

I have been takingit for years
My osteoporosis has gone from broken bone risk to the low end of normal. For the past two years, this has been my main treatment, along with Vitamin D. I have been very happy with the results.

It does cause gas and bloating for some!
I have stopped and started this product twice because it gives me radical gas, every night. I see another person commented the same thing in their review. Guess it doesn't agree with everyone. Anyway just an fyi. I'm going to stop taking it. It's a shame because it really does help me sleep better. I take a bunch of other products by Garden of Life with no issues.

The directions are to take three capsules with breakfast and two with lunch. I already get calcium with my milk at breakfast. In order to guarantee absorption, I would like to take them throughout the day. Garden of Life's customer service, however, told me that their products should always be taken exactly according to the label. How do you take the Raw Calcium? Thank you.

I didn't see it listed on the box. I think you should contact them direct.

Best Answer:  I had that problem too if I took it with other vitamins. So, now I take it by itself after a meal. I read where Calcium taken with other vitamins can cause problems with your vitamins. I have not been nauseaus since taking the calcium by it self!

I was told to not take calcium of any form along with strontium, because they compete with each other. This product contains both calcium AND strontium and all it says is to take 3 in the morning and 2 at lunch time.

Best Answer:  Algae based supplements contain a small amount of naturally occurring strontium. The strontium in Vitamin Code Raw Calcium is only 3.8 mg which is an insignificant amount and is probably not an addition, but a natural occurrence in this formula. If you take a separate strontium SUPPLEMENT, which would be a much higher dose, that should come later and not with the calcium.

Best Answer:  Hello,

My father has been using Vitamin Code's Bone Growth for almost 1 year and he has seen an improvement in density (0.1, which is a big deal).

I guess the improvement has been attributed to the bone growth complex and not just the raw calcium. The complex has strontium as well, which stops bone loss.

I am not sure if the improvement can be attributed to Raw Calcium alone. However, this is very good product as it has better absorption into the bones.
