Doctor recommended calcium citrate.

A few years ago my primary doctor recommended taking calcium citrate because I have osteporosis. I chose Solaray Calcium Citrate. I like being able to control the amount of calcium. If I eat more dairy on any day then I can take one or two fewer capsules. The capsules are easy to swallow and are fine to take with or without food.

Best Answer:  The packaging states that 85% is Calcium Citrate, which is the most effective form of calcium that you can take. The other 15% is Calcium Carbonate, which is virtually ineffective.
