I'm disappointed. I'm new to this whole whey protein thing. In April, I stopped at the local store to ask for advice, so my first try was the Unmatched. Certainly tasty. They use real cocoa. And stevia to sweeten. But, I thought I would try another and chose this Optimum Nutrition product. It pales in comparison to Unmatched. The taste is "meh". Not as rich in the real cocoa in Unmatched. Even the size of the container is unwieldy. It won't even ft in my cabinet. (Both 29 servings). I guess I'll be going back to UNmatched, but it looks like they don't offer delivery for Unmatched? Would have liked to include in my monthly Subscribe & Save.

Optimum Nutrition Whey Protein - Best so far!
This is the best-tasting protein powder I've so far bought. The chocolate flavor is rich without being overpowering. There's no chalky aftertaste or lingering artificial sweetener flavor. I would recommend it and buy it again.

Fake chocolatey taste if mixing with water
I should note that I usually bought Vanilla or Strawberry in the past. This one does not taste very good to me if mixed with water it has a very fake chocolate taste. I did mix it with Macadamia milk as well and that was a lot better tasting, almost tastes like a dessert.

if you're a water mixer, i don't recommend the double rich chocolate flavor.

I’ve been using this protein for the past couple weeks and it’s easily been the best protein I’ve used. It’s very easy to mix and digests really well. Flavor isn’t crazy strong but is still good and enjoyable. Highly recommend

I used to buy this brand all the time. I bought the double rich chocolate, for the first time in a year or so, and it’s pretty bland. I don’t remember this flavor being so bland before. It’s a good quality product, but the flavor isn’t really good. I have vanilla also, but haven’t opened that one yet, hope it’s better.

Best Answer:  No, being in a caloric surplus makes you gain weight. This product is only 120 calories per serving so its like eating a small snack, except for this gives you a lot of protein which is good for building muscle.

Best Answer:  You can mix it with almost anything. I thought it was great with just water alone. It's good with milk - use skim if you're trying to lose weight or fattier milk if you're trying to gain weight/muscle. I also like mixing it with coconut water. It's great blended with greek yogurt, ice, and a little water/milk (and even a banana) - it makes it like a milkshake. It's pretty versatile. Thep powder blends pretty well in just a shaker cup with a ball. Hope that helped!
