Do you have to keep this product in the fridge?

Best Answer:  Some people say you are supposed to keep probiotics in the fridge to keep them cool so that, I believe, more of the cultures have a chance of surviving/staying potent, then if you don't keep them cool. Supposedly, there is less of a chance of them staying potent if you do not keep them cool. In my use of these products, I have not noticed a difference in effectiveness if they are refrigerated or not. Plus, take into consideration when they are shipped from Vitamin Shoppe, or wherever, they do not ship them to you cool. In fact, I have had them shipped in the summer when it is super hot in the UPS truck or USPS truck and I have not noticed a difference. If probiotics definitely need to be shipped and kept cool, Vitamin Shoppe owes me a lot of money, then.

How long should you take the ultimate flora 100 billion capsules for ? Is there any danger in over dosing ? and when is the best time to take it ?

Best Answer:  Ultimate Flora is a great product. I take one everyday; right before I eat breakfast. Once you open the bottle, its best to keep it in the refrigerator. If you are taking medication (especially antibiotics), I would take 2-3 a day. I usually gauge it by how my colon is doing. You cannot overdose on Probiotics. When I need to take them in large quantities, I used to take 6-8 a day. But that was the lower count probiotic. Its not always how much is in there but the different types of flora that are in the probiotic. The only product that I have seen out there with the most number of strains is this name brand. If you know you will be going on antibiotics, I would start taking more right away. The antibiotics kill the good flora. This product replaces what has been killed off.
