For lack of Sunshine
I've been taking Solgar vitamin D3 for my daily intake of sunshine ?? for about 45yrs and at no time has my vitamin D been low or deficient. Just one gel pill daily of 10,000 IU or 250 MCG is all that you need for a full day of vitamin D. For us elderly and those that work inside and don't get enough sunshine I truly recommend Solgar vitamin D3.

It's an oil capsule, which is what you want with an oil soluable vitamin.
My preferred go to vitamin D3.

Is 10000 iu too much on a daily basis?

Best Answer:  I am not in the medical field, so my comments are not quantifiable on the subject matter. However, I believe that 10,000 IU is not too much if you are mildly active and hydrate (with water). Your body will dispel most of the vitamin via a combination of urination, movement or activity and/or sweating. This is from my experience taking 2 - 5000 IU tabs a day for a few days and I drink a lot of water to aide in flushing my system.
