Another tremendous resource are the "Prescription for Herbal Healing" and "Prescription for Nutritional Healing" books. They are my bibles for information on herbal and nutritional remedies. That said, Arnica may be taken with or without food. The pellets should not be touched with your hands. To dispense, turn the blue vial upside down (with the clear cap pointed downward), and turn the cap around, maybe 5 times. Pellets will dispense from the blue vial to the clear cap. Toss the pellets from the clear cap to underneath your tongue and dissolve. They'll taste like little candies. I've taken up to 4 doses in a day, but the Prescription book says not to take longer than 2 weeks and pregnant women should never take Arnica. Arnica is an amazing antibiotic, anti-inflammatory and pain reliever. Excellent for healing bruises.

  Talk to a professional who is knowledgeable about how to take homeopathic remedies if this is the first time you have used them! There are some important things to know. For example, you can't touch the pellets. Gently shake the vial before you first use it to activate the remedy. Turn the vial upside down, turn the lid slowly until it dispenses just the amount you need (3-5 pellets), and gently pull off the cap containing the pellets. Pour the pellets underneath your tongue, directly from the vial. Let them dissolve. No eating or drinking at least 10 minutes before or after, and don't use mint as that can affect the ability for the remedy to work at its best. Otherwise, remedies have nothing to do with food in the stomach.

  Hi. I am not an expert in homeopathic remedies (like Arnica), although I have used them for a long time. My understanding is that it is best to not use them with food, because it can decrease their effectiveness -- wait 15+ minutes before or after a meal to use. Homeopathic remedies work vibrationally, so foods, or even strong odors and flavors (say like coffee, peppermit) supposedly can keep them from working.

  They are different. 30 c is the stronger dose. It is the dosage that I keep on hand. Also, I try to never leave home without it. It is such a remarkable help for bruising and pain.

  My understanding is that homeopathic dilutions of 30c or higher do not have any discernible amount of the original botanical or other substance, in this case Arnica Montana. Therefore, homeopathic remedies 30c or higher are said to work on an energetic level instead of a physical level. I don't know what type of anti-inflammatory products you cannot use, but I cannot take NSAIDs and use Arnica 30c as a first aid remedy without any problems. If in doubt, you may want to seek advice from a homeopathic practitioner.

  Generally homeopathic remedies do not interact with other drugs. It may depend on why you can't use anti inflammatory products.

  Once when having surgery I took FIVE pellets morning, afternoon and evening and felt comfortable. (I did this for about 3 days). I have taken it for occasional back pain and have had relief, but NOT chronic pain... Which I have experienced once upon a time and sought a massage therapist for regularly relief and of course, worked with my doctor.

  Normal dosage is 3-6 pellets, 3-4 times a day. But I don't think this is the remedy you want. Do some more research. Arnica is more for trauma and is to be taken just before or immediately following. It's not for chronic conditions.

  For chronic pain it's best to consult a homeopathic practitioner for the correct remedy (and dosage) for you.

  In no way will this bother your stomach. They are tiny little pellets that you dissolve under your tongue. We have many digestive/food issues and have never been bothered by any of these homeopathic remedies.

  It has never bothered mine, you dissolve it under your tongue & it shouldn't pose a problem. I also have a tender stomach & avoid most meds if possible......not IBS but I am very careful with what I use.
