I had 6 mo. chemo, lost a little hair, but not all, and my hair was very dry. I got this shampoo to help grow & thicken my hair. 14 weeks post-treatment, I had my hair colored and highlighted again and my stylist said that whatever I had been doing had helped my hair, since it had been so fragile right after treatment. This shampoo definitely does not hurt color treated hair and in fact, helps it. I will say that I never use just a shampoo without using conditioner also, as that will dry out my hair no matter what kind of shampoo it is.

  I wasn't real pleased with the shampoo. I felt that it dried out my hair. You may need a moisturizing conditioner. Only used shampoo a couple of times. May be good for someone that has oily hair.

  I have color treated hair & used it. However, I DO NOT reccomend this product-you have to use far too much shampoo to get a lather up, and it never feels as if your getting it really clean!

  My hair is not color treated, but I purchased this product because of its all natural ingredients. I have found my hair has more body and seems healthier, so I am sure it would be great.

  My kind of hair is dry-oil it work on my hair and give me volume, I never did color trated hair. I like it but still need to use conditioner hair.

  Hi Jackie, I have a bottle of it right here. I do not think it contains gluten, but here are the ingredients as listed on the bottle:

Deionized Water, Biotin, Hydrolyzed Keratin, Peppermint Oil, Hydrolyzed Elastin, Niacin, Folic Acid, Panthenol (Provitamin B5), Organic Aloe Vera Gel, Organic Essential Oil, Jojoba Oil, Inositol, Barley Extract, Sodium, Myreth Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine (Coconut Oil), Octyl Dimethyl PABA, Styrene/Aacrylates Copolymer, Citric Acid, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Botanical Fragrance.

I've used several biotin shampoos (difficult to find them continuously stocked) and really like all of them that I've tried. I like the fragrance of this one and the feel of my hair after using it. It's an opaque liquid and not thick (a little more watery than others-water is the first ingredient) just to let you know that.

  Jackie - as far as I can tell, there is no gluten. That word does not appear in the list of ingredients - but the bottle does not say "gluten free!" It is a Millcreek Botanicals item, as you may know and their website certainly doesn't indicate gluten in the product.
I have only just begun to use the shampoo and am reasonably happy despite its seeming that one has to use quite a "handful" of shampoo in order to get a lather!

  i love this shampoo..although it does not say gluten free on the bottle, it has all natural ingrediants..i am also gluten free and have not had a problem with this shampoo..hope this helps you..this product along with the conditioner are great..

  I'm not sure how to answer that. I have long hair, and it's remarkably healthy and shiny, especially for my age (53). But, I get it trimmed every 4 weeks.

This shampoo has definitely made my hair thicker and healthier. If your hair is dry, I would recommend the CREAM conditioner.

  I don't have long hair and no split ends to worry about. This product does clean the hair well. The peppermint essence gives the scalp quite a tingle.

  I do not know. I bought it because I have scalp psoriasis. I wanted a shampoo that was sulfate and paraben free.

  Yes...biotin shampoo really works. It helps with hair loss and thickening of hair.

I have colored hair and I use Biotin Shampoo three times a week and have had no problems with my color.

  I use this shampoo with my color treated hair--I use an herbal color treatment from Whole Foods. No problem. It is mild.

  The last ingredient is Botanical Fragrance...it's definitely not lavender. I just bought another brand from Vitamin Shoppe called Nature's Gate Shampoo--Biotin. It has a nice fragrance, as well. My favorite biotin shampoo from V.S. came in a blue bottle, but I can't remember the name. I haven't been able to find it again.

  I'm unsure just what are "moobs." But I can tell you that the shampoo has no lavender listed in the ingredients.
