About This Product

To be used as part of your cholesterol management program. Red Yeast is known to promote HMG-CoA reductase inhibition action which may help to promote healthy cholesterol levels.

Directions

Take 2 capsules twice a day with food. Store at 15-30C (59-86F). Protect from heat, light and moisture.

Do not use if pregnant or nursing, or have a history of liver disease, are an organ transplant recipient, or have had major surgery. within the last 8 weeks. Discontinue use if you experience any unexplained muscle pain or tenderness, especially if accompanied by flu-like symptoms. Not intended to be taken by anyone under the age of 18. Horrible side effects

Horrible side effects. I never knew a supplement could have so many horrible side effects. Daily headaches, muscle aches, etc. Threw mine in the trash.

it works 100%

I have been using this for years,it keeps my cholesterol low,I once bought another brand and my cholesterol went sky high?.i only recommend Cholestene,I have had zero side effects?.but it's best to stop taking them if you are on antibiotic,it effects your liver enzymes?I keep a stock in I am afraid to be out of them .

nothing comes close

On a scale of 1-10 this product is a 10. The second best red yeast rice product on that same scale would be a 2. If I couldn't use this, I wouldn't use any. And my lab results prove to me that it works.

My doctor told me to take one tablet of Chinese red rice yeast 600 mg at bedtime for 4 weeks. Originally I had bought Vitamin Shoppe brand at 1200 mg (which he had originally told me to get) but the pills were too big and I have a problem swallowing. Do you have either a 600 mg tablet of either Cholestene or your Vitamin Shoppe brand? I'm wondering if he made a mistake on the dosage and meant 1200 mg daily. Everyone seems to be on a regimen of 4 1200 mg daily. Thanks for your reply and I will wait to purchase until I hear. Much appreciate your time.

Best Answer: I I have taken this product since it was introduced in I think the 1990s. I take 2400 mg per day because my cholesterol is naturally 300. It reduced My cholesterol to190 and my LDL from 1:80 to 120 with no side effects.

I had an angiogram of my heart a year ago. My heart arteries were almost clear.

Cholestine blocks cholesterol produced in the liver. You can also take plant sterols that work differently absorbing cholesterol from the food you eat to lower it further.
