This Product Works!
My doctor was ready to put me on medicine for my high cholesterol. I tried everything from diet, to fish/krill oil. Nothing worked. After taking this supplement twice daily for six months, my cholesterol dropped from 259 to 205. My doctor couldn't be happier and so am I. I highly recommend this product. It worked for me when nothing else did.

Red Yeast Rice
Have used Red Yeast Rice for over 5 years, my Cholesterol went down from 279 to 179 and my HDL went up to 98. At first I took 2 a day now I only take 1 a day and still the same.The best ever

Doctor recommended , and i like extended release too

My father has been on prescription "statin" medicine; which has been taking a toll on his leg muscles. We told his Cardiologist no more "statin" (chlorestrol medicine) and he recommended Red Yeast Rice. After a week he was unable to walk and/or stand without a cane or walker. My question, is that a side effect of the product?

  I had severe muscle reactions to the statins too. It is a side affect of the statins. I stopped taking anything indicating any possible muscle reactions and starting taking the REd Rice Yeast Extended Release daily along with CoQ10 which was recommended by a friend. Within a week my muscle pain was gone and since that time, I won't take anything where muscle pain could be a possible side affect.

  this is from Loretta's husband...we have been taking the "Extended Release Red Yeast Rice" for several years. Our internist told us to take it. We also of course take CoQ10 at the same time. We take the red yeast rich in the evening. 600 mg per day. I don't know about your side effects...I am not an M.D. so check with your doc.

  I have weakness in my legs from a spinal injury, I did not notice any added weakness from taking Red Yeast Rice. However I started to have frequent nose bleeds while taking it, when I stopped the nose bleeds also stopped. I gave it to someone who had no side affects from it & they had great sucess .

  My husband has been taking this product for a few months, and he has not experienced any problems with his legs. He was having problems with floaters in his eyes on the statin drugs, and these have resolved with changing to the Red Yeast Rice.

  Red yest rice contains the same active ingredient as prescription statins, so if one is having negative side effects with prescription statins, they might see the same side effects with the red yeast rice.

My doctor told me to start taking 2 of these a day. Should I take them at the same time or at different times? The bottle says best if taken in the pm.

  Hello Gloria, I've been using this product for 2 years now. I believe it has been very effective in reducing my cholersterol. I take one a day in the evening. In the morning I take a CQ10. As I recall CQ10 has a positive counter effect on the red yeast rice. You might want to research that or ask your doctor.

  My doctor also suggested I try these. They suggest you to take it at night for best results. I could not take Red Yeast Rice as it caused me to have nose bleeds. I gave mine to a family member that can take them, she had good results.

Can someone share who purchased this product recently share the UPC numbers with me? The FDA recently (2013 and 2014) issued warning letters to a couple of production facilities because of the lovastatins in the product and the claims on the website.Thank you,potential buyer
