About This Product

  • Supports cardiovascular health
  • Promotes nitric oxide production
  • Suitable for everyday wellness seekers
  • Free of gluten, dairy, soy, and nuts

L-arginine is a free-form amino acid that your body converts into a chemical called nitric oxide. Nitric oxide is a vasodilator that promotes the relaxation of blood vessels, circulation, and heart health. While l-arginine is found naturally in red meats, chicken, fish, and dairy, sometimes our diet alone misses the mark. But don't worry, we're here to help.

Taken once daily, The Vitamin Shoppe® brand L-Arginine capsules support cardiovascular health and nitric oxide production with 500mg of l-arginine per daily serving.

Makes me too hot
I think the whole tablet of 500mg is too much for me. I weight 170 pounds, and I think it's too much? It seems to raise my body temperature a lot, which, I guess, is an indicator that my circulation is better, but because it raises my body temperature so much, I can't sleep at night as my bed and sheets feel way too hot. I think may be half the tablet might work, may be 200mg? But this whole tablet is too much, I guess. Other than that, I don't feel much different. Just too darned hot.

COST LESS & OUTSTANDING PRODUCT!!
L-Arginine is an outstanding Product and hard to find in a large quantity for less money, so when I found it at The Vitamin Shoppe (TVS) I had to purchase it. The label recommends you take this product up to 2-times a day, and that adds up to a lot of vitamins and the only place I could find this product cheaper, larger quantity and quick availability was at TVS so I have ordered it to keep my cost down, and have one stop shopping. Highly recommend getting all your vitamins and supplements from TVS.

Why did you choose this?

I heard that this is a good product

Because i love vitamin shoppe products and i'm wanting to boost my nitric oxide..

give me give me energy

Did this product help improve erections?

In conjunction with a couple of other things, testosterone oil and secretegoge, it has been terrific. I don't have total confidence in it's efficacy by itself. It is, however, good for blood flow which helps in other areas (cardiovascular).

Erections have never been a problem for me. I take this supplement on the recommendation of my doctor to help control blood pressure and keep me from having to take prescription medications.

I'm sorry I am a woman and don't know the answer to that question.

  Not at all.

  No.

Is this good for erectile disfunction?

After taking the product for a while, I noticed a spike in my sexual activity. I can't say that L-Arginine was the reason, but it sure helped! That along with garlic, exercise and changing my diet.

I don't know the answer to this question. I suggest asking your doctor.

we use it to lower blood pressure

  Carefull,you'll get horney!

I would like to improve my blood pressure and circulation as well...my question is , How many capsule should I take on a daily basis?

I only take one a day, however, I exercise regularly (2 hour/day Nordic Track Skier) and maintain a blood pressure of around 110/69 with a resting heart rate of around the low 50s. I am almost 68.

I take two capsules a day, and I have noticed improvement in my circulatory problems. I don't suffer with high blood pressure; but at my last doctor's visit my blood pressure was lowered, so over all with taking two of the 500mg capsules I am pleased with the results.

To strengthen the heart muscles and to promote circulation by transporting long fatty acid chains, it is recommended to take 500 mg twice/day.

follow the instructions and stay consistant with it. 1-2 capsules 3 times aday

Is it ok to take it if you are also taking COQ10 daily?

Yes, you may take both. You should take the COQ10 right before or immediately after your first meal of the day. L-Arginine should be taken between meals: 2 hours after a meal and/or 2 hours before a meal. I also know that some people take their COQ10 at bed time: your preference.

  Yes

WHAT IS A GOOD FOR BUILDING MUSCLE FAST?

I don't know the answer to this. L-arginine is used by athletes for better performance due to increased blood flow, but not sure of its ability to build muscle fast.

  for circulation

What are the side effects for people who are on high blood pressure medication?

Best Answer:  Hallo Jaime: As I'm not a doctor nor take blood pressure meds, I'd suggest asking Dr.Oz or your dr. I take Insulin and have had no adverse reactions, instead I feel energized. Good luck...

I have heard through the grapevine that this product can help with hair growth as well. Any truth to that?

Best Answer:  L-Arginine is one of the essential amino acids used biologically to assist in many functions of the human body. Google the following: l-arginine biological effects and click on Pharmacodynamics of l-argining. I have been taking l-arginine for probably three years for the main purpose of helping to increase the NO (nitrous Oxide) concentration levels in the blood system. This combined with two other supplements helps to keep the intimate parts of life alive. As far as helping with hair growth, personally haven't heard or read anything about that, but being an essential amino acid it sure wouldn't hurt any thing. I have used Biotin to some benefit with hair loss. You might want to try that. Hope this helps you answer your question. Ken

can you tell me what other supplements you take along with L arginine to keep the "intimate parts" working?arcas

Is this product made up of acetyl L-carnitine (ALC) or propionyl-L-carnitine (PLC)?

Best Answer:  Proprionyl-L-carnitine is a carnitine derivative. Acetyl-L-carnitine is, also a carnitine derivative. I have done some extensive search to try to see if L-argenine and any carnitine are related, and have foundnone. Dr. Weil writes about acetyl-L-carnitine"It is synthasized to provide a more bioavailable form of L-carnitine, which is a derivative of the amino acid lysine.

Is it time release capsule?
Are all your Vit-shoppe L-arginie products soy free?
