Non-constipating
This is the only iron supplement I will take. It is the only one, including prescription & over the counter, that isn't constipating. I have used Vitamin Shoppe's brand for several years without a problem.

Boosted my hemoglobin without side effects
As a frequent blood donor, I occasionally get deferred for low iron. Eating more green veggies and other iron-rich foods didn't solve the issue, so I tried this supplement. Two weeks later I was eligible to donate and didn't experience side effects from Comfort Iron.

Best Iron vitamin
This is the only iron vitamin I can take that doesn't cause constipation. I've been taking it every day now and it has increased my iron levels! Try to take it with OJ or an orange, wait at least 2 hours after having coffee, and don't take it with calcium.

Best Answer:  It's a trademarked form of iron called Ferrochel. It says it's "Vegetarian friendly." In my experience, it does all that it claims to.From the Web site:Ferrochel's many unique attributes support its superior role as an iron supplement in humans. Why was rice extract blend, rice brand extract used?  What are the benefits, what are the problems with using this as I cannot find anything online about these specific ingredients and this product.

Best Answer:  The other ingredients listed for this supplement including rice extract blend are what the capsule shell containing the supplement is made from. This ingredient does not contribute to the supplements' efficacy, but is simply used in creation of the vegetarian capsule shell.
