I am a 61 year old woman with MS. I have never had a problem with anemia until the last couple of years. The iron I purchased locally created a problem with constipation. This doesn't and my iron counts are headed up. Thank you so much.

Samuel B: As always, it's best to consult your medical provider. Generally and only generally speaking, people with kidney disease will likely need supplementary iron if they aren't already making up for it in their diets. Ask your medical provider for baseline blood labs to determine your iron levels and do periodic follow ups to measure progress from any supplementation you may be taking. Bottom line: please consult your medical provider. May 11, 2013
