I have trouble sleeping at night; racing thoughts and probably anxiety about not being able to possibly get to sleep. I take 3 Ashwagandha (470 MG each) and 2 L-Theanine (100 MG each) and my sleep quality has improved so much. All of these years I have been on medications to help me sleep and two trips to the Vitamin Shoppe with recommendations from the staff and I am sleeping so much better. I am thinking of adding Gaba to the mix or 5-HTP for even better results. Everyone is different in how much will work for them so do your research and experiment to find the right path for you.

Perhaps I need a lower dose but I haven?t found one on the website yet?
Instantly gave me Migraines? Tried it for a few days and then could not do it? Who wants a headache every day? I was trying to push through but finally went to the vitamin Shoppe. Does this product affect INR levels?

Best Answer:  I could find no specific literature which stated that it raises INR levels. I did find specific recommendations to halt it prior to surgery which suggests that it has blood thinning properties as many herbs do. If you are on coumadin I would be hesitant to take it without my doctors knowledge and recommendation.

I recently purchased these capsules, and after comparing it with some studies that I had found online, it seems that 4 capsules would be needed to get the recommended amount of withanolides. Has anyone tried this or know anything in regards to its safety? Thank you!

  I've been taking only 2 a day for quite a while - and it works for me. I tend to not take as much as the bottles call for; my philosophy is to take the least amount it helps and to not go overboard with anything.I think it depends on what you're taking it for. I read that it was a good energizer and have since read that it is also good for relaxation . . . so who knows?!

  I used 2/day for 18 months and dropped back to 1/day recently. It seemed plenty effective at 2/day. It appears to me that it can take a full month to see the effects of Ashwagandha, so you might have to be patient with it.
