Collagen is a complex structural protein that maintains strength and flexibility throughout the body. Collagen is made up of the collagen peptides Type 1 & 3 which support collagen in skin, hair, nails, muscles, tendons, ligaments and bones. Super Collagen is enzymatically hydrolyzed, providing an amino acid ratio with a low molecular weight for maximum bioavailability and utilization by the body. When Super Collagen is taken internally, the body receives the raw materials it needs to supplement the collagen found in all of these areas and may act as a messenger to trigger the synthesis of new collagen fibers. Super Collagen is neutral in taste and is specifically formulated in an easy to take powder form. It works synergistically with Vitamin C and is recommended to be mixed with orange juice or a Vitamin C supplement.

Directions

Boost your inner beauty with approximately one (1) heaping scoop (10 g) daily mixed into your favorite beverage, smoothie or desired baked good recipe. To enjoy cold, simply mix into room temperature liquid first and then add ice. One heaping scoop is equal to approximately two tablespoons.

Great product!
I bought the grass fed collagen peptide's powder and it mixes really easy into my smoothies (whew protein chocolate milk peanut butter and bananas) and it also mixes great with coffee . Only been using a few days and already my skin feels more hydrated ! Signed up for mnthly delivery

Ok product, but no scoop. It hard to measure out 3/4 tablespoon because most measuring spoon sets do not have that size, so you have to eyeball the amount. I will probably go with a different brand next time that provides a scoop. Purchased at Walmart.

So what's the exact amount you need to take? On the directions from Tuesday container it says take 1 1/2 tablespoon on an 8oz cup and then when you scroll down for more details it says take 2 scoops ? So I'm confused please help

APPEARANCE
This powder doesn't mix well with hot coffee. Once I stir the coffee it's ok, but when it sits for a few minutes it looks like clumped, spoiled milk. I know the cream i add is new and not expired... Is it because coffee too hot?????????? No idea why it does this.... Ugh! Not happy! It doesn't change the taste of my coffee it just looks grossed! Also, Once opened the Neocell super collagen plus 20.6 Jar, I found the brown particles all over the jar. PLEASE explain. THANK YOU!

What exactly is in it. Where does collagen come from, plants, animals, etc? More specifically what does the powder consist of. The Supplement facts and product information was not detailed. Thank you for your site and your reply.

I've been taking Neocell Super Collagen powder for a little over a month and noticed I've been gaining weight and attribute it to the Collagen supplement. Has anyone else noticed this? I have noticed softer skin and my hair is growing faster and may even be a little thicker, but the weight gain is a big minus for me. What if anything can be done to reverse the weight gain effect?

I am wondering if this product would have any adverse side effects with medications. I have to take a very high-potency narcotic for back pain so my biggest problem is with constipation. I also take other prescription meds. Does anyone think it would be a problem to add this to my everyday diet? Thanks.

While I don't know about drug interacts and collagen I will say (from experience)that lower back pain and constipation go hand in hand...it is pressure on the nerves that keeps things from working correctly so to speak. Vitamin shoppe sells a product called "Magnesium Calm" which I have used to eliminate the constipation, plus it relaxes you and helps you sleep.
